This app is meant to make crown molding what it should be: no problem. It provides clear instructions about how to cut each piece for any type of corner, no matter how strange the angle.

It also features a tool to calculate the angles to cut for bullnose corners. A notorious problem in crown molding.

You can also save corners to come back to them later. Do all the measuring and all of the cutting at once, without having to go back to measure every time.

This app also minimizes the amount of saw adjustments you have to make, in order to make cutting as fast of a process as possible. It also provides the option to place the crown face down further minimizing adjustments.

This app will save you time, material, and a whole lot of headache!

Great free app

This is a fantastic app. I have only a few minor criticisms. First, if you set the preferences to a dual-bevel saw, the photos only show the orientation for a left-bevel saw which requires you to place the bottom of the crown against the fence. Secondly, while i love the ability to save a list of cuts, it would be helpful to display the bevel and miter in the list without needing to click on each one individually. Lastly, I would love to be able to save the wall length in the list as well, which would really help to increase the speed and efficiency of crown molding installations. Excellent app! As good if not better than some of the paid crown molding apps.

No good

The app is useless but I guess you get what you pay for. If you enter the angle at a common 135°, it gives you 56.1° for the miter angle. This is wrong as it should be 14.3°. Luckily I have been a carpenter for 30 years and instantly knew this was wrong. I wonder how many ruins boards this has created. How anyone would release an app that doesn’t even give the right answers and how it could ever get 5 star reviews is beyond me. It also states that the most common spring angles are 38° and 42° which is wrong. It is 38° and 45°.

Better than the paid apps

I downloaded this app to help me install my crown molding. I was hesitant because it was free but figured, "why not?" It ended up being everything I needed and more.
