FML has been around for almost 10 years now (give or take a few years), and we're not going to stop the party yet! Like punk, FML will never die. The idea behind our app is quite simple: every day, our team selects the daily mishaps and embarrassments that our brave users have sent in, to serve them to the rest of you on a plate. Your life isn't perfect either? Let's have a laugh about it!
FML is also a social network, the network of people proudly living crappy lives. Don't feel like you have to post fabulously flamboyant stuff here like on the other social networks: you won't be judged by us (well, not that much). No need for perfect photos of fantastic parties that seem a bit too staged and filtered, as well as status updates that seem slightly exaggerated. Thanks to our Timeline, you'll have your own space in which to express yourself (at last) freely, and show everyone how crappy your (real) life is… and show everyone that you're able to laugh it off! Problems with transportation, sports injuries, juicy stories… Perfection is being able to laugh about your own imperfections!
Download FML to join our millions of subscribers, meet people (in a friendly way, of course, sort of!), submit FMLs, find out the latest offbeat news with FML News, take part in debates in the comments, check out the funniest photos our team and our users have found, send each other messages via the private messaging system, check out the illustrated FMLs, giggle at our video content…
And all this for free!
Any problems? Not happy? Tell us all about it at firstname.lastname@example.org (instead of here, which would be cooler for us)

When I try to read the comments, these weird ~8 second videos pop up and take over. Multiple ones pop up and only one plays. The "done" button does nothing. It some times gets rid of one, but there's always another one underneath it that refuses to close. Restarting the app and my phone both did nothing. I tried to report this problem through the app, but the "contact us" form is broken too.
These folks are thieves
Edit: the ads stopped temporarily, but were replaced with a pop-up asking my permission for them to collect advertising preferences every time I opened the app. Then the ads came back again. Remember that I PAID THEM MONEY to not see ads. I’m done. Deleting the app.
I loved this app. I loved it enough that I paid for the ad-free version. A few days ago the advertisements came back in force, popping up on the home screen and blocking me from reading comments. Why am I seeing the ads when I PAID FOR THE AD-FREE VERSION. Rating 1-star until they fix the problem.
Disgusting turn for the worse
The app used to be great at what it did. Open it up, read a couple, go about your day. Now? Open it up, get an ad that you can’t click away from for 5 seconds, scroll through ads with a couple of posts in there, get an unskippable ad if you click on anything or go to the comments, and that’s if the posts even load in the first place. It was perfect the way it was a long time ago, but it seems that greed killed this app. Cannot recommend.
