Editors’ Notes

This charming, genre-blending RPG kept us smiling as we saved a cursed village through the power of—you guessed it—friendship.

Adorable artwork and solid puzzles, but could use some key improvements

I’m really enjoying this game so far, but would love to see a few issues addressed:

- please give me a tool wheel or some kind of tool popup quick change menu. Needing to go to the inventory to switch quickly is cumbersome.

- the mirror fairy chimes in every single time you reach a tower floor that requires an item, telling you to go get the item. Every single time you get through the floor by providing the item, the fairy reminds you to help out the animals to keep getting hearts to keep going! I’ve gotten through at least three of these floors and it is only irritating to have the fairy continue to tell me the same useless information. I wouldn’t have gotten to the 15th floor if I weren’t helping the animals and getting hearts. Further more, EVERY TIME the mirror fairy chimes in, I get a little “!” Over my bag, telling me to check in with the mirror. I do so, and the fairy proceeds to repeat THE SAME THING AGAIN. There is no other way to dismiss the “!” Over my bag, alerting me of nothing and informing me of nothing. Frankly I wish the mirror didn’t exist, it is of no use whatsoever.

Next, the wardrobe is very buggy, I can’t put back on the original starting outfit since I changed into different clothes, no matter how many times I try to tap them.

Some of the minigames/puzzles in the tower are buggy or confusing, and it’s really irritating that the 👆button and the ↩️buttons are so close by, because I frequently have backed out of a puzzle when I was close to finishing it with an accidental tap. It might be a little less annoying if the puzzles didn’t reset every time you backed out, but they do. Some of the controls are confusing, especially if you don’t immediately notice the virtual joystick and intuit that the leaf is a cursor. Frankly, it’s confusing why some puzzles are touch based, and other require the frustrating use of a slightly fussy joystick and cursor, when it seems more logical to use touch mechanics whenever possible for this platform? I’m thinking in particular of placing furniture, and the anagram puzzle in the tower which I paused playing to type this right after I accidentally backed out of a nearly finished anagram AGAIN.

I do appreciate that with enough berries you can buy your way out of doing any of the floors with a ticket, and I love that each puzzles has hidden hints. It’s very gamer friendly and I have never been frustrated with the puzzles, only with the UI and some of the character interaction.

I would love to see some more options in the settings, especially for controlling the character - for example, if I could touch anywhere on the left side of the screen and it would register as moving the joystick to move the character, that would be easier than a fixed joystick. Even just the ability to move the joystick would be nice, I can’t imagine a ton of left handed folks have an easy time with it fixed as it is. Being able to swipe to roll might be easier than having to hit a fixed button as well.

I am definitely enjoying the game, but these quality of life improvements would make such a massive difference, and definitely bump it up to a 5 star game.

Nice graphics but buggy with controller and poor locialization

Within the first moments of the game there are grammatical errors. While using a controller you cannot use buttons to navigate the menus, have to use touch. The name UI letters really need to be bigger as they’re extremely small. Please update the game to fix the issue where the touch control buttons still display on screen despite the fact that you’re using a controller. This really breaks immersion having to look through pictures of buttons on the screen when you don’t even need them because you’re playing via controller.
