:: REAL TIME CALORIE COUNTING
Diet Clock is a new way for you to control your calorie intake.
It displays your calorie usage in real time, and at a glance Diet Clock will show you how much to eat every day.

Diet Clock is very easy to understand - It works like a calorie chronometer.
- Calories from food will be added to the total.
- Calories burned (including your exercise) will be subtracted from the total.

So all you have to do is keep the counter as close to zero as possible - by logging what you eat.

Just set your daily calorie intake, hit start, and you're good to go!

Losing weight has never been easier!

:: DATA SYNCHRONIZATION FOR MULTIPLE DEVICES
Diet Clock also features automatic backup, and data synchronization.

Easily synchronize your data between multiple devices, and keep logging on the go!

Whenever you add something to your diary, or update your profile, that information will be instantaneously synchronized across all your devices.

To use data synchronization, simply log into your account using another device, and the app will download all data and synchronize everything exactly as the first device - and then from one device to another in real time!

The synchronization service is free, fast, and requires no configuration.

Diet Clock is available on 10 different platforms, so no matter which device you use, you will be able log all your information from your favorite device.

And to get a feel for how Diet Clock works, go to dietclock.net and you can get started right away. Then later on, you can send the data back to your mobile device.

:: QUICK OVERVIEW
1 - Diet Clock is designed to help you control your calorie intake. Whether you want to maintain, lose, or gain weight, this application will help you focus on what’s important: your caloric balance.

2 - The idea is simple. Define a goal (daily calories) and keep yourself Balanced in the context of this goal. The app will indicate when you’ve eaten too much (surplus), or too little (deficit)

3 - Calories from food will be added to the total. Calories burned (including exercise) will be subtracted from the total.

4 - Elapsed time is converted into calories burned. Therefore, your caloric balance will be reduced automatically throughout the day. This simulates your metabolic rate.

5 - If you overeat, you can compensate by doing exercises or eating less over the next few hours.

6 - Check your Profile to determine your ideal calorie intake.

Needs fine tuning

This app has a lot of potential. I have found it east to use, but upon entering a food item myself found that the calorie values always changed to a higher number. I tried again and again, even deleting the app and downloading it again.
I checked the built in data base and found many foods to have the wrong nutritional information. It could be a problem on my part, but until I can resolve it I will only use the calorie slider. It would be nice to see what foods I have eaten in any given day, but with this bug . . .

UI needs some serious work

I love the idea, but the interface is terrible. It’s cumbersome and most of the features don’t work. There is a database of foods you can search. It looks like it’s user driven, so there are inconsistencies. Supposedly, you can adjust and save an entry but nothing saves. If you try to use the database entry, there is no button I have pushed that saved it as your diary entry. There is text “prefill” indicating the database will fill in the nutritional information for your entry, it does nothing. Actually, it kicks you back to the main screen. You get no user feedback, there isn’t even a basic help screen explaining the purpose of the various icons you can tap.

The only way I’ve found to add calories using the database is to increase the grams of the food. I don’t know the grams of the food in the database for prepared foods. I might know the calories, but not grams. It defeats the purpose of having a database, in terms of easy entry. The other entry method is to simply increase the calories on the main page. You get no other nutritional information and you need to already know the calories in the item.

Overall, a great idea but terrible implementation.

Needs more work

I downloaded this app today with great expectations but it is not working quite right. I found the food list but after trying to correct an entry could not get back to lists. The major thing this app needs is connection with the Apple Watch! The things tracked by the watch like water and exercise would add in automatically. I will try again tomorrow to see if it will allow me to enter foods from the list. It could truly be awesome if I can figure how to use it.
I have given it another try and it is not at all intuitive. Only get to food database on first entry. I will go back to my easier to use apps that coordinate with my watch and where it is easier to make entries. I really liked the concept but perhaps if more work is done it will improve. Right now it just doesn’t work for me.
