Absolutely incredible, I just have some suggestions

This game is, as the title of this review implies, absolutely incredible. The simple, responsive, and efficient control scheme allows the player to do some really cool stuff in a fighting game that would be much harder in a mainstream fighter game like mortal kombat. The sheer amount of button precision you have to have in such mainstream games is easily addressed with flappy fighter’s excellent controls. Overall this game and its content is very, very well designed and accessible to any kind of player.

Despite all of this appraisal, I still have some suggestions that I believe the general playerbase would agree with. First of all, a settings menu would be nice (though really I’m asking this so I can adjust the sound of the game so I can listen to my music and play the game at the same time). Secondly, maybe add some progression rewards for doing certain achievements such as 25, 50, and 100 winstreaks in medium difficulty. These rewards could be new colors or, yeah I guess just new colors. Finally, could you add a reset positions button in the training mode? So some players could practice their corner combos or non corner combos without having to painstakingly push them to their desired position to set up their combo.

Again, overall a great game and I can’t wait for the future of this game. Good luck on your endeavors developer, thanks for making this beautiful game.

Fun, Free, NOT p2w

Amazing game so far I’ve sunk countless hours into this game on week 2 alone. The controls are very snappy and the dev has stayed true to his promises so far which is something many others can’t say. For a mobile game I recommend splurging that 3$ for the ad free version just to help the dev out.

Criticisms: I think the CPU should be adjustable not just with the difficulties provided. The reason I say this is bc hard mode adds damage and maybe even resistance to the CPU on top of making it more intelligent, which can get very frustrating in those clutch moments. I prefer an even play field with only more intelligent AI if that is possible and give me the option to add the damage on later.

One more thing I noticed is that the uppercut feels like it crush’s EVERYTHING. I can win a match against the cpu mashing only uppercut, that’s not good from a balancing perspective. It may be a mix of Iframes or just how high it shoots you into the air not sure but you shouldn’t be able to counter every move in the game with only 1 button. EDIT: I just downloaded the new update and the uppercut actually feels better for some reason

Best mobile fighting game...but

This is by far the best fighting game on the AppStore, at least in terms of mechanics. This game blends the complexity of a normal fighting game with the simplicity of a mobile game. It works really well and is simple enough for anyone to play ( only 6 buttons total) but is deep enough for players to find cool combos.

But.... there are some problems. This game feels like a demo for a bigger game. There really isn’t much to do in the game. Your only options are to fight a cpu or go into training mode. The game is fun but with so little to do it gets dull after a while. Also as of right now there are two characters in the game, but you can’t play both. The game forces you to play only one of the characters until an update comes out that might force you to play the other character. Personally I wish that you could simply chose which character to play as. (Especially since splashy has much better moves than flappy).

This game is definitely amazing, but it feels unfinished. I seriously hope that in the future a bigger version of this game comes out with more characters and online fights. I feel that if it wanted to it could become a full fledged fighting game. (And by far the best one)
