Problematic on newer iPhone
I’m having trouble with this on my iPhone, the keyboard is inadequate (missing F11/F12 keys), and it won’t go into landscape mode, so I can’t test that out. Still looking for a way to add my own programs without jailbreaking the phone. I’m thinking there may be a way to configure using an older phone and OS, then save the files to your computer, and update the new phone with saved version. Way too much trouble, but that is apple’s fault not the developer. Very functional on older iPad (aside from “settings” function not working and killing the app). Wish that I could get it to work better on my phone, but with it refusing to go into landscape mode, it’s not very useful to me on the phone (iPhone 7, iOS 12.1)
Looking forward to future updates, and hope the newer phone/os related bugs can be worked out.
Can't load games
This app looks like it used to be good, but not being able to load my own dos games into it with my ipad air 2, and no keyboard support for games makes it a no go. Luckily I only paid .99 for it so I am not too worried. I will keep it for now with the hope that it will be updated to work. Honestly I wish most games had keyboard support and customizable controls. Thanks for making this and look forward to the next update or two.
Great start - keeping going!
Exactly what I needed. After a little config I can play my vintage PC games on my iPad. It isn’t comprehensive by any stretch of the imagination but since the app just got approved by the store I bet there are going to be more updates to the app now that its reach is much greater. I look forward to following the development of it.
2.1 Update included Magic Keyboard support, nice surprise with touchpad support as well - Thanks!
Suggestions - Better support for Landscape mode when using the Magic Keyboard. It would be nice to have a layout and graphic interface like in portrait and have access to an ESC key.
Tighter mouse / touchpad support - it isn’t 1:1 to the screen and makes navigating the interface wonky; especially in landscape mode.
Maybe provide some documentation on setting up a config file to better the experience for others, it is a bit rough if you don’t have command-line experience.
Developer Response ,
use Command-~ to emulate esc, command-1 for f1 and so on
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
