Description

WizzJ is a cutting-edge music visualizer for high-end iOS devices. It fully exploits the latest advances in graphic processors to create a flow of animated generative art. The animations are synced with the beat and texture of the music being played from your music library. If no music is playing, WizzJ can capture input from the microphone.

WizzJ represents a new generation in the art of music visualization!

Download WizzJ for free and enjoy a fully functional preview of the available 36 styles, each providing a unique and immersive experience:
A Flower of Life, Alien Speak, Ancient Glyphs, Beat Tunnel, Beat'n Chaos, Blossoming, Breeze of Oil, Brick Islands, Color Wand, Cricumpunct, Crystal's World, Dancing Blobs, Disco Sun, Entwined, Girl's Best Friend, Holes of Color, LP's Revenge, Matrix, Neon Ice, Ocean, OneHundredEiiigghtyyyy, Phoenix, Polar Texture, Pop Art Dive, Puzzled, Rainbow's Birth, Sandworms, SpeedBeat, T-Rex's Skin, Tentacles, The Beauty Within, Threads of Light, Threesome, Wanna Kiss?, Wave Dance, Wheel of Color.

WizzJ uses Apple's built-in media player and can thus access your existing songs and playlists.
In contrast to most other visualizers, WizzJ analyzes the sound of played songs without using the microphone; hence you can enjoy WizzJ even with headsets.
Note: Apple does not allow to analyze streamed music. Thus, only music saved on your device and played through the internal iOS audio player is supported. Unfortunately, Apple Music, Spotify et al can therefore not be supported.

WizzJ can support the device's native display resolution for a detailed and crystal clear presentation. Activate this feature in the Settings App if you have a powerful device.

You can easily create your own music videos by capturing WizzJ's animations with QuickTime and your Mac.

Videos and more info can be found on the "Developer Website".

Nice App

Great visualizations, great variety of visualizations.

Any chance of a “Select All” option in future versions which can allow a user to select all of the songs in their library?

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your feedback!
WizzJ relies on the built-in iOS mechanism for selecting songs - so it depends on Apple if they add this feature. However, you can select a complete Playlist at once, so one workaround would be to create a Playlist consisting of all your songs in the library.
All the best,
Joachim

FINALLY A REALLY REALLY GOOD REAL VISUALIZER!!!

I've tried what seems like 100s of the crappy visualizers out there looking for something like good ole milkdrop for Winamp that can create mesmerizing fractals actually in tune with the music this one does all that and is worth actually paying for. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could, my only complaint is that it seemed a tiny bit behind the tempo of some of the songs with some of the fractals...almost not noticeable. Great job and I hope an update offers more patterns I LOVE IT!

Music visualizer that stops the music?

I start a song then switch to the app to watch it work, and it stops playing the music. What’s the point? Deleted.

Edit after dev response: You might want to make clear that it works only with music in the iOS Music library. I use another music app and service, but this app doesn’t work with them. (Although it asks for access to the microphone for some reason.)

Developer Response ,

The point is that you choose the songs/playlist from _within_ WizzJ. Only then can it analyze the played music.
Added: The microphone can also be used to pick up sound for visualization (surprise!) - which is mentioned as the third sentence in the product description.
Also, the product description mentions clearly under system requirements:
"Note: Wizzj can only play music that was downloaded to your device as Apple prohibits intercepting streamed or DRM-protected music!"
