A little disappointed

I really thought that the reason this app was so expensive was to deter the trolls that ruined the last app for everyone, and that we would still be able to create secrets. I've been a PS reader for years but don't have a ton of extra money to spend on apps. I finally downloaded it because I have a secret I need to get off my chest and wanted to do it now, but that isn't a feature any longer. I wish I had read the reviews first. I still would have eventually bought it, but I would have waited until I had extra money 😕

**** for supporting suicide prevention

I've been reading PS online (for free) for years and thought that it was appropriate to buy the paid app. No, the high price tag does not reflect the amount of content within the app, which is well-designed and will hopefully be updated periodically. But, remember when you are considering whether to buy that PS is a major supporter of suicide prevention and that this is where their profits go.
Also, if you are expecting an app like the last one, it isn't. And if we are honest, we wouldn't really want that again (remember when every law enforcement agency in America descended upon the app because of the content of some of the secrets?). There is a reason that we need Frank to sort through the secrets that should be posted and those that are not for public consumption.
If you decide to buy the app, enjoy the interesting multimedia experience and new secrets, and feel good that you are supporting a good cause, but don't leave bad feedback because it isn't like the old PS app. It isn't supposed to be.

Do the secrets ever get updated?

I love postsecret and have the book.. But this app is pretty awful. Very difficult to sort through all the secrets because it's a weird interface shaped like a giant ball.. I mean- I get it, and it's clever.. but any wrong click will take you to the other side of the ball or way far away from the secret you were trying to read and is pretty hard to find it again. I wish they would at least update the secrets. I never would have bought it if I knew they didn't.

Also- there's a feature that tells you which secrets you haven't read. It takes extra clicks to get it to recognize that you read the secret (and sometimes the extra click just takes you to another secret across the ball. Ugh) It's almost always wrong, as well. I get super excited thinking "oh! They updated it!" Nope. Same secrets. Just didn't click them the right way to make it recognize that I already read it.

I really wanted to love it :( I'm sorry.
