It’s ok

I should have invested in a more expensive product/membership. This one is ok. It’s great for walks around the neighborhood, but actual hikes... meh. The dog walks app tracks my phone not the tracker- so I can’t tell how many miles my pup put on or where exactly she rolled around unless she’s pinned to my side. Also there isn’t a lookback feature at all. There should be with all the GPS features, a little map showing where all we’ve been.
Last, if the dog is lost it sends pings within a time frame. Helpful. But unless my dog stopped, not very accurate by the time you get there, the dog is gone. And the battery isn’t much longer last than a day.
That’s all. Good features but only worth so much

Awesome idea, poor execution

I’m a professional dog walker and I’ve been looking for an app that would track my dog’s mileage and bathroom activities and I thought I hit the jackpot when I found this app. The iPhone app works beautifully and so far I have no complaints about it, but the Apple Watch app... has been nothing but a royal pain. I’ve been trying for over a week now. It just hasn’t worked. When it does feel like working the buttons don’t seem to do anything. It’s like it’s an image of the app that I’m looking at. It just doesn’t respond at all and it never has. Not even once. Even after I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it for giggles. The only button it responds to it’s the start button when you first open the app, but 90% of the time it gets stuck on “starting...” and doesn’t do anything. To make matters worse, I can’t kill the app after it gets stuck. It just won’t allow me to. I would love to see this HUGE bug fixed. And if it could be made into a complication after fixing it that would be grand. But for now it just doesn’t work at all to be worth anything.

Love this app, but...

This app is amazing, when it works. I depend on apps to track my dog walks to report to my clients. This one has great features. I like how it pinpoints exactly where the dog has gone pee/poo and it tracks mileage and how many feet you’ve walked. One issue I have, unless I totally missed it, is that I can’t preview a photo when I take a picture through the app. I snap and it asks if “client is in the photo”, where I have to then click yes or no. I’m not able to preview it first to see if I like the shot. Also, I can’t see where I can upload photos. I can only take a picture through the app. I wish I can upload multiple shots at once during a visit.
Another issue I have is that my data has been erased. I did a dog walk today, completed it, then shared it with the owner. Only the data was completely erased. The walk was not in my history, nor was I showing up in the share with my client. This makes me look bad for there is no proof I was at the house.
If this app worked properly and make a few tweaks, I would love it!!!

If you have problems with your history make sure that the app is up to date and has full access to the GPS module of your phone. Unfortunately, restoring a walk when there was a crash is not possible currently.
