iDocCam 4+

This looks to be a great idea! Being able to us your smart phone to connect the camera or control your document camera would have many uses as a teacher. The app downloaded easily, the functionality was nearly identical to iPEVO4 camera sitting on my desk top. All other functions, including connectivity to my school’s network were “pay-only” features. This brings me to my 2 - star rating, without enough (any) features to test out, I will not be purchasing this app.

Just wanted to confirm that the version you used refers to our free trial version? If so, then the version should definitely have the wireless connectability. On a side note, both our monthly and yearly plans are free for 1st month, so you can always sign up to a premium account and unsubscribe anytime you like within the first month without getting charged. I am/was having so many problems with this app It will work for a while, I could present my lessons solving math problems to the students, then the next day it doesn’t work. The following day it will work. It is so iffy, I can not rely on it. I sent an email a week ago and have heard no response from customer service. This morning I tried again and the app asked me for a password. I NEVER had nor have I set up a password to begin with. How did that happen?! I tried Logging in again later in the day and the app on the computer will not recognize the iDocCam app on my phone. Nothing changed from 2weeks ago till now. This is not the first time either. What the heck is going on?!

Thanks so much for reporting the issue to us. We are sorry about the frustration. Unfortunately, we could not locate your request in our customer support system. Could you please email cs@ipevo.com again? We will keep a close eye on it.

Further, could you do me a favor by resetting your iDocCam to default? Please open iDocCam and note that there's a 'gear' icon located in the bottom right of the interface. Please click it to open the Settings page. In Settings, click Access Account to enter the Account page. Finally, in the Account page, click 'Reset to default' to reset the app. If you're still getting pop-ups asking you to provide password information, please definitely contact us.

I’ve got an iPad. I was hoping to find a solution to connect the IPEVO VZ-R (wired, USB-C connection) to the software. I launch it in the iPad and I only have the integrated iPad cameras to choose from. I don’t have a laptop, so I’d love to have an option for sharing an overhead view with my awesome IPEVO VZ-R while not in the studio while on zoom/google meet.

Ideally I would screen share to the iDocCam software and the app would be able to detect the connected IPEVO camera. Any thoughts on how to make that happen?

It’s great software otherwise. I’m enjoying it!

Hello and thanks for taking the time to review our iDocCam. Please note that in USB mode, the VZ-R document camera can only be connected to computers that have USB Type-A ports. Therefore, the VZ-R cannot be used with iDocCam, unfortunately.

For your information, iDocCam is designed in a way that it utilizes the camera of your smartphone to capture and stream live images. The app is therefore, not a platform for accessing external cameras.
