This application is a SIMPLE periodic table of the chemical elements.
The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tabular display of the chemical elements. Although precursors to this table exist, its invention is generally credited to Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869, who intended the table to illustrate recurring ("periodic") trends in the properties of the elements. The layout of the table has been refined and extended over time, as new elements have been discovered, and new theoretical models have been developed to explain chemical behavior.
- The periodic table (pinch-zoomable table)
- Descriptions and illustrations of the elements
The following properties are displayed for each element if the value is currently known by science.
Group, Standard atomic weight
Electrons per shell
Phase, Density (near r.t.)
Heat of fusion
Heat of vaporization
Specific heat capacity (25 °C)
Van der Waals radius
Electrical resistivity (20 °C)
Thermal conductivity (300 K)
Thermal expansion (25 °C)
Speed of sound (thin rod)
CAS registry number
Note: iAd supported application.
- Minor UI changes.

iOS 11 compatibility?
Love this app but it no longer works on my iPad with iOS 11. My son is studying chemistry and we wanted to use the book only to discover that it still hasn’t been upgraded for iOS 11. Really bummed. Was looking forward to hearing the element song!
It is so much easier to find what I need than just using an ordinary periodic table. It gives you extra information on each individual element. It helped me a lot, especially if I needed it quickly.
Handy But Not Up To Date
As a chemist I've found it handy with informative features pertaining to the elements I'm not overly familiar with (the larger ones that one only encounters in textbooks and not in the lab).
However element 112 is no longer recognized as Uub (for the record it was Uub not "UUb") but now as Cn, great that the factoids about 112 are up to date (More Info says it is called "Copernicium, Cn, 112" but would be nice to see Cn on the actual chart).
Overall great app!
