Description

Fine-tune the tracks in your music library. In your headphones or any speaker system, anywhere.

iEQ is a ten-band graphic equalizer for iOS that provides clean, transparent equalization through ten two-pole cascaded bi-quad IIR filters, centered at sonically and musically useful frequencies.

After opening iEQ, simply select the song, playlist, audio-book etc. from your Music Library, Device Files, or iCloud Drive, hit play, and move the sliders up or down until you like what you hear. The Attenuation slider on the left lets you control the overall volume and helps keeps the sound from distorting (NOTE: since the ten frequency cut/boost controls may be used to add more gain to a track already be close to "clipping", it's possible to create distortion with your EQ settings. If this occurs, remove the distortion by lowering the overall signal level with the attenuation control).

Use the On/Off switch to compare between the original sound and your EQ’d settings.

iEQ your will help your music sound its best, anywhere.

Great EQ

Great EQ. I had trouble playing songs in iTunes Match, but downloading them to my device seems to do the trick. A welcome addition to my audio app collection.

Good tone bad usuability

Well - probably I’m speaking too soon. I can’t help saying that it is very very inconvenient to have to load songs into this EQ enhanced player (every time)? out? And,(one by one)? I see no way you can select more than, one song, at a time, to add to the player. Then, when you close the App, it seems to forget everything that it had, within itself. The tone colors appear reasonable, but the whole thing appears to be an inconvenience such that the whole thing is not worth it. Listeners really want an EQ which really works like an EQ, a tone control, in the real world. That is to say, an EQ which behaves like an installed component, which is always there, and which can be used, or not used, with any audio thrown at it. This App is an outlier into which one has to load songs, one song, at a time, which it is destined not to remember. **Is this outlier status due to Apple Inc. actually, not letting anyone close enough to its (propriety) to make a component of any real convenience or ease of use? The stove pipe is very old technology. Apple, if true, loses a real claim on leading edge....
