Ratings and Reviews
More robust than most applications.
Tried using with iFunia Photo Slide Show with neatly 1000 slides, but wasn’t able to finish the task. Special effects have to be added picture by picture, very tedious, and adding/editing captions is a mysterious art. Once you enter a caption, you can’t move it. If you change the font or text size, good luck. Photo Theater has much better and easier to use customizing tools, except for the constant crashing and freezing. After completing my project, I tried to burn it to disk, which took two hours, before my computer froze and warned me to quit the application. I have 1TB HDD, and 16GB RAM.
It did what I needed it to do…albeit very non-intuitively
I had to use this software to create a slide show and much to my dismay, this application was extremely manual. No group selection (that I could find), no variable sizes of thumbnail previews (that I could find) made for long and frustrating placement of images in sequence. I think the most frustrating was being able to apply change by group selection. You have to move each image one at a time to reorder, you can’t apply transitions to a group, you have to change slide duration one slide at a time…etc. The pro(s) is that it worked, unlike iDVD (which doesn’t work anymore)…but that is really all the pros I can write about at this.
GARBAGE with a capital G, with paid reviews
No way menu, no way to save, etc. absolutely NO support, I sent several emails over time and NO response. They got my money, thats all they care about. In theere so-called do theyeven tell you how to save a presentation, you can only add one photo at a time, which is time consuming if you have a lot of photos, which is a mute point; you can't get the program to work. There support page (another joke). they show a woman with a phone headset, But NO way to contact anybody except email. This junk has scam written all over it. I am beyond angry. I am protecting this company to Apple, and filing for a refund. All of the good reviews are paid for or from it’s employees. The old adage “the buyer beware” surely applies here.
