This brand new app iHypnobirth Lite is the new free version of the popular iHypnobirth app. This app has been designed for pregnant women looking to create a positive and empowered state of mind both before and during the birth of your babies. ihypnobirth Lite contains positive birth affirmations created specifically for labour and birth and now includes relaxing music for birth.

iHypnobirth Lite was created by Psychologist & hypnatal practitioner Dr Alex McKay, hypnatal & NLP qualified Charlotte Maslen MA HONs. With five children between them they have first-hand experience of the power that self-hypnosis and positive affirmations have on pregnancy and birth. They believe that women deserve positive, empowered birth experiences and have created this app to equip them with the skills to achieve this. The effectiveness of hypnosis and relaxation on positive birth outcomes (shorter labour, lower rates of medical intervention, less medication use) is well documented in a number of research studies.
ihypnobirth Lite will teach you that birth does not have to be full of fear, instead the positive affirmations and relaxing music will equip you with tools that can create a positive birthing experience, helping you to prepare both physically and emotionally.

By listening to the relaxation regularly during pregnancy, this app will enable you to practice deep relaxation, effective breathing, and positive visualisations to help you to have a calm, controlled, and empowered birth experience. If you learn to condition your body now it will be much easier to slip into a relaxed state during your labour and birth - and even after your baby is born these techniques will serve you well.

It's free

One track for free, the rest you pay for. To be clear I am reviewing the free track only, as I didn't download the rest.

Yes there is a lot of reverb on the voice as one reviewer points out. I have been listening to this at night for a few weeks now. It is kind of hokey but also soothing. I was having some contractions the other day and was panicking, so I decide to lie down and listen to this - it calmed me down immediately and the contractions stopped.

It goes a little too fast to actually repeat the affirmations to yourself as they suggest, but if you listen to it enough you kind of memorize it. I use this more than I thought I would. As it is free, I encourage you to try it and just see if you like it or not.

Nice Affirmations

To be clear this light version of the app only includes the 20ish minute positive affirmations track. If you want all four tracks then you need to buy the full version.
I do like the track included, nice soothing background with a calming female voice reading the affirmations. Very much worth downloading for expecting Moms.

Calming affirmations

I only downloaded the free portion of the app which is the positive birth affirmations. I love listening to them at least once a day & already feel a shift in my mindset. I think that the music & voice are soothing. I’m debating purchasing the whole app...hopefully the other meditation is very similar
