Le colonne portanti di questo tempio della musica a cielo aperto sono gli abeti rossi, apprezzati, da Stradivari e da altri grandi maestri liutai come i Guarnieri e gli Amati. Questo bosco, ogni estate, accoglie un rito musicale, unico al mondo, ideato da Claudio Delvai.
Qui, musicisti di fama internazionale, che partecipano al festival di musica in quota "I Suoni delle Dolomiti", sono chiamati a scegliere un abete. E’ il dono della Val di Fiemme a chi diffonde nel mondo melodie sublimi, con strumenti che potrebbero essere nati proprio nelle sue foreste, così accoglienti e ben tenute grazie alla gestione della millenaria Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme.
