We need to know what driving skills should be taught and in what order as well as needing a convenient way to log behind the wheel time for the DMV. That is where iLog Student Driving comes in.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year olds. iLog Student Driving has been designed from the ground up to provide the necessary tools to enable parents to teach their teens to be safe drivers. iLog Student Driving is designed for use in the real world where we forget to start or stop the timer or aren’t sure which skill to teach next. iLog Student Driving will provide the tools necessary for the parent who is serious about their teens driving to teach like a pro.

iLog Student Driving is written by a professional software developer with twenty years of experience writing commercial software who is also the parent of two teen drivers. As a parent the developer wanted an app that provided the necessary tools to do an effective job teaching without a bunch of features that were “cool” but unnecessary or even distracting. The result was iLog Student Driving.

So close to Great, but for 1 thing ...

I downloaded this app and one other, and went driving with my daughter. I set up and used both at the same time.

I'm about to delete this one for just one reason ...

Once you save a driving session, there is no way to open and edit it again. I cannot view the details from the app, nor can I update the duration or add more details.

Our driving involved several short trips (to cleaners, to hardware store), plus several long ones (to airport, back from airport).

Unless you are willing to sit in the car and enter all the details IMMEDIATELY, you are screwed. If you stop and save so you can dash into the store and back out, you will NEVER be able to go back and enter notes or correct a session duration afterwards.

I sat in the car at the end is two hours and made notes for each leg of our day in the other app, then discovered I could not edit the saved legs in this app.

Just let us pull any saved session back into the editor, and we will be overjoyed! We will be able to read and update notes, correct duration, and note the road types and so on. Then we can save the updates session.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE enable that. I loved your app much more than the other, but this inability to edit is a deal breaker.

Can’t edit and day/night often wrong

This app automatically wants to decide Day/night and is often wrong. Even when I manually change it, and it appears saved, when I go to print the report, it reverts back to what it “thinks” it is. This is useless to us since our state mandates a certain number of day and night hours.

Can’t edit

This app would be great if you could open a log to edit and view your notes - why bother putting in notes when you can’t see them again. And it keeps defaulting to night and in order to fix it you need to delete the entry then re-enter it!!
