Not a lot to say except it works well. Just what I needed, nothing fancy, just a direct translation of your image into an .icns (mac icon) file
If you create a png file with transparency, it retains that transparency so it is easy to make icons that are different shapes.

The one improvement I would suggest is that the icon for the resultant .icns file be that of the content instead of the generic .icns icon: that way it would be easy to transfer the icon to another file via copy and pasting in the get info window instead of having to open in anothe app. But for the purpose of generating .icns files, this does a very good job.

I tried it with 3 PNGs.
In all cases, this can only deal with square images. You won't have the option to modify the crop.

1. Vertically tall PNG: this stretched it out, and shifted the colors. Ruined.
2. square PNG: looked okay.
3. horizontal PNG: squished it to make a square, I think it cropped it too.

All filenames default to "untitled" which is annoying. There are a ton of other free icon apps, you can do better.
