It aint no Image Alpha, that's for sure.
On an initial test to see how it works, it looks as though you're on your own to figure out what to do. And it's slower than molasses. When the compressions are finally done they get parked in a new folder (you have to figure this out). Only THEN do you have to move the new files back into the folder of the older file and replace the bigger ones with the newer files. Incredibly cumbersome, non-intuitive and has far too many steps. Image Alpha compresses a file, you save the new one, it asks if you want to replace the original and then it automatically drops the compressed image back into the original folder. Boom. Done. Unfortunately there seems to be a glitch with Image Alpha using the newest MacOS with the M1 chip. I am hoping the get it fixed, because Image Optim is a poor substitute.

First and formost. This app does exactly what it says and compresses quickly and very well. In fact, I am suprised of the quality after compressing items. The biggest issue I have is that I paid for the UPGRADE to compress without the limitation per day. However, unlike other upgrages I pay for, this one only works on one computer and they must expext you to pay again for other computers tied to your Apple ID. I have tried to restore purchase as I have on both Laptop and Desktop, but it only let me do it for the desktop. It just spins when I try the restore purchase option on the laptop. If this gets fixed I would say it was five stars but as it is, it feels deceptive a bit.
Best image compression app of all time!!!
This app is the best application for image compression. The quality of compression is amazing and makes images look like they have not even been compressed. Most of the time the images are compressed by 85% and the UX is optimal for someone working in web development.
Just drag and drop and the application does all of the magic for you. I am suprised at the price of this application because to me its worth much more than I paid for it.
The only downside is that it doesnt compress gifs or videos. I am hoping that they come out with a new version that will.
