Big redesign! After over 8 years, we have re-written iMilDotCalc to not only address any and every user feedback given to us, but we also made it cross platform.
iMilDotCalc helps determine the distance to an object by using the mil relation formula. A mil, or mil-radian, is an angular unit of measure. If one knows the width or height to a distant object being observed with a mil ranging reticle equipped optic (binocular, rifle scope, etc.), then iMilDotCalc can provide precise range estimates between the observer and the distant object.
Some of the other features include target size in mils, target size in one of 5 units of measure. It also provides a facility to estimate distances using the Flash to Sound technique which multiplies the speed of sound at sea level by the time interval elapsed between the flash and sound events.
Good range estimation is key when hiking in the wilderness, playing Golf and when doing long range shooting. Range estimation is also use extensively in military, marine and engineering applications.

A new user database for size items that can then be used to inject the size value (and corresponding unit of measurement), into the distance calculation page.
New subdued color scheme for all calculation pages, as to not be too aggressive against human night vision in low light conditions.

Stay away
This app has 4 modes to select from of which only 2 work. When I select Mills or Flash & Sound the app closes. I specifically purchased this app over another ranging app because I wanted to try out the Flash & Sound option. The Unit of measure option in the ranging section keeps resetting to Inches every time I open the app even though I have set it to Centimeters.
