Description

Importer for Calendar lets you convert spreadsheet data into calendar events. You can import the events directly to Apple Calendar or save them as .ics files to import them to another calendar app.

# Main features
As an easy to use CSV to iCal converter, Importer for Calendar comes with many thoughtful features. Simply copy your data in your spreadsheet app to the clipboard and then paste it into Importer for Calendar to convert it into calendar events. You can save field assignments for recurring imports, so you don't have to do the assignment from scratch each time. You can preview the conversion result before importing, using a list view or a detailed individual preview per event. To work with third-party calendars like Fantastical or BusyCal, you can save the converted events as .ics file.
The app can handle a variety of date, time and duration formats and also supports the creation of alarms.

The following features set the app apart from alternatives:

- Supports the import of events with a specified duration instead of a defined end time.
- Supports a broad range of date and time formats.
- Supports conversion to .ics files
- Allows flexible import from any table structure. There is no need to provide an import file in a predefined rigid structure.
- Time zone support, with individual time zones for start and end dates.
- Privacy: Conversion and import of your data takes place completely locally on your Mac.
- Genuine, modern Mac app, not an iOS application ported to the Mac.

# Privacy
All conversion takes place locally on your Mac - a clear advantage over online converters where you never know what happens to your data.

# Is the app free or paid?
In a free basic mode, Importer for Calendar limits event titles to a length of 12 characters. This allows you to download and play around with the app for free to get a feel for whether it might be of use to you. Full functionality can be activated with an inexpensive one-time purchase (no subscription).

What’s New

Version 1.3.3

- Added support for the upcoming version of macOS.
- If only a start time but no end time is specified when importing, the event duration can now be set to a default value.
- Fixes a crash when creating or saving events if an event has an invalid start and/or end date.
- Fixes a bug that resulted in an invalid .ics file if all events are in the same time zone and that time zone does not support daylight saving time.

Easy and efficient

Easy to set up spreadsheet columns and copy/paste to the app. Seems 100% accurate. Good error checks.

Great tool for productivity. Minor Bugs

I've been enjoying this app quite a lot. The only thing is I've been having issues with successfully creating events in calendar. The "continue" button stays gray after I pasted the data over and finished mapping the fields. I had to go back and forth a couple of times to get the "continue" button to light up properly

so far so good

I'm a pilot and this has proven to be the easiest way to import a month-full of my schedule
