iNet - your network under control!
One of the best network scanner for Mac and iOS devices. Developed in Germany.

iNet - your network under control!
Keep control of your local network. Is someone using your WLAN without your knowledge? Which devices are online? Which ports are open? Which services are available? What is the address of your router? Wake up sleeping computers via the network. Label found devices with your own names and icons ...

The very clear and user-friendly design allows even inexperienced users to get a clear overview of a network, the devices connected to it and the running services.

iNet is a network scanner that makes it as easy as possible for you to obtain information about networks and the devices connected to them. Whether you're a network specialist or a simple Mac user, iNet gives you the data you need to find out what's going on in your network.

One of the best network tools for Mac since 2011. Developed in Germany.

Network scanner:
- View all devices that are online and connected to the network, including their IP and MAC addresses.
- You can assign your computers, routers or other network devices your own names and icons from the supplied Ion sets or your own icons to identify a device in the scan list more quickly. Most Macintosh devices are automatically displayed with the correct icon.
- Setting the IP range to be scanned or the interfaces to be scanned
- Exporting the scan results as an Excel (csv) or PDF file
- Connect to devices with different protocols

Bonjour monitor:
- Display of all running services (Bonjour) in real time
- Display of the services running on a specific device
- Display of detailed information about a service
- Selection of the active Bonjour domain

Wake on Lan
- Wake up computers in the local network and via the Internet
- Hibernation, shutdown or restart (Macintosh computers only)
- Creating a favorites list
- Sending commands to devices via ssh
- Minimum system version for WOL: OS X 10.7

Airport monitor:
- Attention! SNMP support has been removed in the latest Airport models with 802ac. iNet can no longer display statistics or WLAN connection quality for these models. The following functions of the Airport Monitor only work with Airport models prior to the latest 811ac version:
- Display of the current status of an Apple Airport base station
- Graphical display of network traffic
- Graphical display of the quality of the WLAN connection of the connected devices in real time
- Detailed information about your Apple Airport base station, such as MAC addresses, IPs, channels used, etc.

Help (currently only available in English):

iNet is also available for the iPhone and iPad. iNet does not collect user data and does not make calls home. The one-time purchase includes all future updates.

at least MAC address is still work on the desktop version.

I got this app long ago it was one of the first ios apps I paid for and I was very surprised and immediately picked up the desktop version, I got the pro version for the iPad yet but I can't justify paying for a Network Utility tool that can't scan network because stupid Apple. I need to know what's on the network to troubleshoot the network and if I can't do that on my phone I might as well have a computer which I have to carry around now anyway. used to be the phone could be a multi function door now you might as well just leave it as a phone. But I digress this app is well designed I wish it had support for the newer airport AP's it really has a lot of functions that were missing/removed from the AirPort Utility. the scanner is really quite nice and the network scanner does a really good job. It does have the quirk of picking up a name that then just get stuck to that device like my iPad insists that it must rename itself every so often to name plus number usually (6) that will get picked up and then burned to that device in the listings even after it has changed.
There's a history tab it's a little confusing and I haven't looked into which one does does what, there's one in the scanning list and then there's an entirely different tab little confusing.

Intuitive and Useful networking app

This app is very well done. Simple and straightforward interface is intuitive and discoverable, some of the top Mac UI traits that sadly have been forgotten in many other apps. Every network admin needs this in their tool belt of utilities, makes it very easy to sniff out network related issues (like multiple devices with the same IP) or simply creating a quick map of all network devices so you can see if something is working or not and/or discover a management interface for some devices that may not have been obvious. Also VERY useful if you are using DHCP and need to access some device but have no idea what it's IP is.

Purchased Years Ago

I purchased this app (along with iOS version) many years ago. It is my go to app to find the devices on my network. It's also a great tool when you are on a public network to get an idea of who you are sharing your connection with. The app itself is well laid out and works great but the best part is that the developer keeps updating the app after all of these years!
