  • Fantastic - Some Suggestions

    PhotoLord

I'm an avid mobile photographer. I also teach high school photography.I am using an iPhone 6sPros: 1. I enjoy the simplicity of the app. I have another app that I do major adjusting or tweaking to my photos. I enjoy that there isn't too many options or junk in the way of simply taking a photo. That's what I enjoy with this app.2. I also appreciate that you can simply move your finger around to get a different result. At times I wish there was some kind of method to adjust the look rather than random changes, but I think as I use it more I will get more used to that. Some suggestions to make the app even better:1. I need to be able to see exactly what I'm going to capture, but on my iPhone 6s, the image is cropped to a full screen. So essentially the proportions are off from what I see and what I capture. I see a 2x3 image on screen and capture a 3x4 image. I'm not sure if it's been designed like this deliberately, if there is a bug, or if it needs to be updated for IPhone 6s. 2. I need to be able to save a preset and use it later for the camera or camera roll.3. I am not able to apply filters to my camera roll photos. I have over 1 GB space on iPhone. When I try to save or export in my iPhone 6s, it gives me the following message:Sorry Something went wrong! Do you have enough space on your device? (1.23 Gb #199) OK

  • Surprised by the charge

    Swissbird99

But the owners supplied prompt and precise information to have it removed. I think charges should be prominently displayed in the product description, and if it’s a trial, send the client a heads up in a text. In my case, I should have made certain about the Terms, and waited until I had more time to try it and experiment. I think I used it on a few photos, didn’t see much difference from the app I was using, then forgot about returning to it. For such a price, a longer trial period might have changed my mind.I think Apple should pay more attention what’s going on in their store - short trials, exorbitant monthly or yearly recurrence, and in one case of a game recently, there was NO MENTION of a fee in the description (yes, I scoured the site), and I was shocked at its price. I never even played it, there was no way to contact the owners (Apple refunded)...but I wonder how many people were too embarrassed to ask for a refund? That must have been some game!I’m sorry, I didn’t intend to rant on this gracious owner’s page. I’m sure this will develop into a desirable, much sought-after app. Work on some really unusual, creative filters that a user can’t easily create on their own. Give a little longer Trial, and think about charging the whole amount in one sum. People like to think they own their Apps!

  • Be careful! It’s YOUR money!

Now how did I manage to subscribe to this app when I never even opened it? And, no, I did so for a YEAR!??! So it wasn’t just a matter of opening it once and it slipping my mind. When the year is up I will own absolutely NOTHING! Somehow this has never ever happened to me before!Hmmm. So I'm out NINETEEN dollars! $19A fine app with an outstanding reputation, an intuitive one, like Pixelmator Pro, costs about $6 and there is no subscription. I own the app now. They won’t keep milking me. They respect their customers. An even exchange. I recommend it; I’ve been into photography for quite some time.I checked out Infltr's website. Two thirty second videos promoting their app. I was hoping for tutorials or some sort of information the customer can use. Nope!Just NOT worth nineteen dollars! Each year...If this happens to you– call AppleCare. They are who you need to talk to about getting a refund. I'll try very soon. And in the interim, you can help yourself out by not subscribing to apps unless it is something you really want. In three years time, you'd have shelled out how much? Unless you are independently wealthy! I know they need $ for development. They could charge a nominal fee for an upgrade.Otherwise, these subscription "services" prices will keep right on escalating! A couple of years ago, Infltr wouldn’t have dared charge you anywhere near this much!

  • Seriously?

This is the most idiot camera app I've found yet. The only way to choose a filter is by swiping, so there's no way to pick one out from a palette, or to return to one you've used before, unless you manage to swipe back to it in the same session. The description in the store says you can save a filter you like, but the only way to do reuse the filter is to dig through your photos to find one you used a filter on before, and then tap a button to use the same filter live. That's it. Not only that, but the camera shows you a full screen preview, leading me to assume it takes full 16:9 photos. But I was fool. It takes standard 3:4 shots. So the preview you see before shooting is a zoom, which means you can't even see what the photo you're taking will look like until after you take it! Who thought any of this made sense? Who could have thought this app was even ready for prime time, let alone worth two bucks? I hate this app.

  • It's alright.

Should've read the description before purchasing. Saw an ad for infltr on a "PetaPixel", thought it looked like perfect filter app (I am not a fan of being limited with presets). Jumped on the phone and purchased it. Only to be seriously disappointed by the lack of ability to apply this tool to the thousands of photos in my camera roll already. Additionally, I don't really feel that the advertising for this app is accurate. The only thing that changed as you swipe is the hue of the picture. There is no brightness/contrast adjustment, no special effects, no additional qualities to be added or subtracted. They should really market this as an app that will add 5.1 million hues, not filters. Taking pictures is easy enough, assuming that there is nothing in your setting that can move (like children, animals, cars, wind... you get my point) while you are searching for the best "hue" for the shot. They did include a helpful feature that allows you to select a previously used hue and take another picture at that setting (but once again, impossible to add it to an already taken photo). All in all, this is an expensive app to do not much more than colorize photos. There are far better options out there for free.

Hi Pearjn,Thank you for the feedback. Did you get to try the latest version of infltr since we originally launched? We listen to your comments and acted. We introduced an editor (inside the app and as an native extension available from the native Photos app). You can edit the 4 most popular types of visual media on mobile: photos, Live Photos, animated GIFs and videos. We added 10 new tools so you can fine tune your filters: saturation, brightness, contrast, filter intensity, vignette, crop, flip, perspective, straighten,.. Now, when you discover or create a filter you like, you can save it to your account and re-apply it as many time as you want in the camera or editor. You truly create your own personal style. Let us know what you think? Would be great to get an edited review from you :)Thank you from the infltr team.

  • Ok minimum filters are cool but....

    johngameropa

Hello. Ok the filters are filters and ok cool but...- after installing the app it took me a couple of minutes to calm down and look at the entire screen for the Not Now option as I was being presented with only with options to purchase the Pro version. Very deceitful and corrupt to offer options to buy, but someplace else offer the Not Now option. DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNTIL THAT IS RESOLVED. Put Not Now in the list!- my new iPhone 11 could fry an egg the phone it got so hot running the app and modifying one photo. If I had a case on my phone I wonder what would have happened to that heat. DO NOT DOWNLOAD ON IPHONE 11 UNTIL THAT IS RESOLVED.

Thank you for your comment, John.We will take your comments into consideration and will work on changing the design, so that the "Not now" button is more visible. As for the phone getting hotter, we assure you that this is not caused by Infltr, we recommend that you contact Apple support about that.If you have any other concerns or questions, please share them with us on hello@infltr.com.Infltr team
