Parents and educators turn to InnerVoice’s thoroughly researched, award-winning app that teaches social communication skills to autistic, ADHD, and dyslexic children using engaging animated 3-D avatars of themselves, characters, or favorite toys.

Unlike traditional speech-generating apps, Its patent-pending process pairs sensory stimuli -- anything from movements, touch, or sound -- with auditory symbols (words), visual symbols (text), or gestural symbols (sign language). Watch the avatar capture your child’s attention as they learn speech, language, and social communication skills.

You won’t need to read a lengthy manual or hire a specialist. Within 90 seconds, InnerVoice’s interactive tutorial helps you teach your child communication skills in your home.

Take a picture and watch as InnerVoice's AI labels the photo with text and describes it with speech. As a Microsoft AI for Accessibility grant winner, InnerVoice developed visual language using artificial intelligence technology that helps learners see the connections shared among their environment, speech, language, and text.

Choose an avatar from InnerVoice's library, use a photo of a face or a favorite character, and start talking. The Chatbot asks and answers questions, provides information, and responds to either speech or text.

Avatars move, emote, and, most importantly, speak to your child! Watching an animated face is like interacting with a friend, helping motivate your kid to imitate speech and stay engaged while learning.

InnerVoice's AI-supported button-editing system makes creating and editing communication buttons easier than ever: just take a picture, and the system labels the button and adds a description.

See what they’re saying on the App Store:

• "[...] it's changing the life of a nonverbal 22 year old because she can ask for specific items that just don't easily get named in sign."

• "[...] This app with its avatar integration has changed the way my grandson uses his text-to-speech."

CHOOSE: interact with 50+ language and dialectical choices.

SPEAK: tap the mouth or the speech bubble and hear the avatar say your words aloud.

SHARE: send any message to friends, family, or social media via your avatar.

MOVE: add actions to any button representing verbs, emotions, and concepts using GIFs and Loop, Bounce, and slow-motion videos from Apple.

WATCH: take a photo of yourself, a toy, or a drawing, and watch it come to life through facial expressions, facial movements, and expressions.

UNDERSTAND: create stories using videos that help learners understand important situations, such as crossing the street and encountering first responders.

EMOTE: make facial expressions to show happiness, sadness, or anger on your avatar's face.

ENHANCE: personalize messages using symbols like emojis with universally understood meanings.

CUSTOMIZE: create new buttons using photos, videos, or GIFs. You can even add a pre-recorded or text-to-speech label to your buttons.

ASK: give remote prompts that guide a child to the correct response, reducing the probability of errors and frustration.

TRANSLATE: use language translation or handwriting recognition keyboards to include other ways of expressing yourself.

Wonderful and engaging AAC

This is an amazing alternative to the typical AAC app! The video model is easy to create and a great way to engage the user. All you have to do is take a picture of your kid and it will create a model that will provide verbal models!

I'm a behavior analyst...

And some of my families (and me, honestly) can't fork over hundreds of dollars that other communication programs cost. Inner voice is a great value. No, an amazing value. And it's changing the life of a nonverbal 22 year old because she can ask for specific items that just don't easily get named in sign. It doesn't have all the functions of proloquo, like selecting pictures an rearranging them, and the folders are a bit clunky to manage, but it allows you to use photos or import drawings to create buttons for manding. The prompting feature is promising for teaching mine/yours and other difficult to prompt phrases, but I haven't needed it yet. Thank you autism speaks for getting this app out into the world!

Hello Kbryson6, Thank you for your review! We have worked very hard to fill in the gaps from communication apps and give relevant features to our users at a reasonable price. We appreciate any and all feedback from our users, Lois

Engaging, fun and useful!!!

I am sold on this app. My grandson used his text to speech only when he really had to. Mostly to ask for a drink, food or some other kind of want. This app with its avatar integration has changed the way my grandson uses his text to speech. He has animated some of his favorite heroes and holds conversations with me. It's no longer I'm hungry or I'm thirsty. We actually talk about things like what his super heroes can do and why etc… The point is, he is really starting to communicate because of this app, Kudos!!
