Still under development???

This app appears to have been released while still in early Beta. For one thing, the description says you can save notes with password protection. I have searched every option I can find in the app and on the developer’s web site and can find no option to password protect a note … and no option to purchase that function as an in-app purchase. The in-app help files also appear to be incomplete. Definitely not worth the price.

Developer Response ,

Hi User985, thank you for your feedback and for sharing your concerns. We understand that the password protection feature might not have been clearly visible or available in earlier versions. Since then, we have improved the app significantly, including clearer instructions and expanded functionality. Password protection is included in the Pro version, and we’re working to make all features easier to find and use. We appreciate your input as it helps us make iNotepad better for everyone. If you’d like, feel free to reach out via the chat on our website (apimac.com) for assistance or more information. — Apimac Team

Its features include:

- Notes can be classified into “tabs” (folder) to group notes into subjects
- Notes are in RTF format
- Notes can be exported to: RTF, RTFD, HTML, Web Archive, Microsoft Word, Open XML, and Open Document
- Notes are be imported from the same sources
- Notes can be copied iCloud by exporting it to an iCloud folder. (I have a folder on the desktop that I share on the cloud where I can exchange files between Macs, iPads, and iPhone)

Version 5.8 Update Damaged - Won't Open

I downloaded the latest update (version 5.8), and now when I try to open it, I get this message:

"iNotepad is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete iNotepad and download it again from the App Store."

I deleted the app and downloaded it again (twice) and I am still getting the same message. The app is now useless and all of the data that I stored using the app is inaccessible. Major fail!

Developer Response ,

We’re truly sorry for the issue you experienced with version 5.8. That update caused unexpected problems for some users, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to lose access to your data. Since then, we’ve released new versions that resolve this problem and improve stability. We hope you’ll give the latest version a try. Thank you for your honest feedback — it helps us do better. — Apimac Team
