Want To Love It But...
Love the perspective and how easy it is to get shots. But we are trying to combine this with other footage for our channel (VAN TREKKING lifestyle) and that's where things get not so good. We reached out to tech support and were told the issue we are facing is a known bug. You see when you export to the camera roll to combine with other footage each clip gets the correct date but the time it was exported instead of the time it was shot. Makes syncing with other footage nearly impossible and very much a pain. So ease of use 5 Stars. Use Within Real World Workfow=1 Star. Insta360 please fix this bug before my 30 days run out and I have to return it.
Adequate but still needs work
This app does the job of making the Insta360 Go camera usable, but it still needs work to be fully functional.
In particular, the handling of portrait vs landscape orientation is poor. I have an iPad Pro with keyboard case and it is awkward to need to turn the iPad on its side in order to use this app. Also the handling of Bluetooth is not great. I assume there are battery life issues on the camera that make it difficult to maintain a Bluetooth connection, but the app could do a better job of dealing with the normal use case of starting a time lapse and checking on it periodically over an hour or more.
Excellent tech but minimal options
I have enjoyed using the app and seeing the output of the AI Flashcut. However, after boasting so heavily about the AI, there are so few themes to choose from and even less music to work with. Just 4 music options? That’ll get old pretty quick.
