There never seems to be one good place to put the stuff you need to remember to do. Reminder lists and programs are great when you look at them, but when things pile up, it’s easy to procrastinate and put off checking the list. WakeMinder is an excellent way to keep the most important things to do right in front of you, every time you sit down at your computer. When the screen wakes, the reminders are there to be reviewed before dismissing. There is also a mobile app to send reminders to the computer. I have just started to use WakeMinder, and it is already keeping me more productive. I highly recommend getting it and trying it out.
Developer Response
This made my day to read. You summed up exactly why I built WakeMinder. Reminder lists are only useful if you remember to check them, and I wanted something that would surface those important tasks the moment I sit down. I’m so glad it’s working for you the way I hoped it would!
Got it for free when it was…

This app doesn’t work properly and feels poorly made. The developer keeps bragging about having 10,000+ users, but that’s only because it was free for a while. It’s clearly AI-generated and full of bugs. It’s not worth paying for and honestly should be free.
Developer Response
Hi there, I am sorry to hear you had a rough experience with WakeMinder. It is a completely indie-built app, and I have been improving it continuously based on user feedback. It was not AI-generated. I designed and coded it myself using Swift. The app was free early on so people could try it and help me find bugs before launch. Since then, it has grown a lot and I have been releasing regular updates to make it smoother and more stable.I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and I hope you will consider giving one of the newer versions another try.
terribly optimized…

entire menu bar window doesn’t work, animation is slow, can’t even quit the app without activity monitor or restarting. i’m not sure if the developer never optimized it for Tahoe, but it’s not at all working for me 😕
Developer Response
Thanks for sharing your feedback and I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve had. An update is coming out soon that includes optimizations to improve performance and animations, along with a new toggle in the settings to let the app run as a standalone app in the Dock instead of only in the menu bar. I hope this makes the experience much smoother for you.
Would love to love this.

Awesome concept. But I haven’t been able to actually use it, as each time I open the app on macOS, I get the spinning wheel of death. If I can’t use the app on macOS, it kind of defeats the purpose, no?
Developer Response
Hi! Thanks so much for the feedback and for giving WakeMinder a try. I’m really sorry about the issue on macOS, this isn’t the expected behavior at all. Could you please email me at omar.szn@outlook.com with your macOS version and whether you’re on Intel or Apple Silicon? I’ll look into it right away and make sure it’s fixed for you.
• Update both apps (macOS and iOS) together for better communication and performance
