Instantwatcher makes it easy to browse, search, and queue Netflix's instant streaming titles from your iPad. This app also looks for matching YouTube clips and previews for you to watch right inside the application and links instant Netflix titles to movie reviews from leading movie review sites whenever possible. You can also manage your Netflix instant queue in the application.
Use Instantwatcher to find something good to watch tonight while you're waiting for the bus or having dessert with friends and wondering what to do next.
Please note that this app cannot play the actual streaming Netflix titles on your iPhone. You have to use your Roku box, Xbox, computer, or Netflix iPad/iPhone app for that.
For the "Play" button to function properly, it will require the Netflix iPhone/iPad app to be installed on your device. You will also need a Netflix membership with streaming privileges to watch these titles.
This app requires a WiFi or cellular connection to retrieve catalog data.
This iPhone app was created by the instantwatcher.com team. It now has support for the new 4 inch iPhones and iPods!

Update made app worse
I have been using this app since it’s launch and have even gifted it to several people (back when you had to pay for it) because I found it invaluable. After the new iOS 11 compatibility update I now have ads again in the app. I don’t mind paying for ad removal but the app has not been updated in four years with the exception of the compatibility update two days ago. I would prefer not to have to pay yet again for an app that is mostly unchanged. The developers email did not even work to send feedback so I don’t know how to even contact the developer to find out what recourse I have to restore my purchases or pay for add removal. Originally I would have given this app four or five stars but until this issue is resolved two stars is more appropriate.
Still kinda useful but becoming very stale
While the app still has its uses, there are definitely issues. For example, you can no longer queue content. You receive a confirmation that the queue was successful but it wasn’t. Also, it doesn’t fit the newer screen sizes which is annoying. I have an iPhone XR and now the app has black bars above and below rather than filling up the whole screen. It feels like the developer has pretty much abandoned the app. At some point, an iOS release will come out which will permanently break the app without some love from the dev.
I use this app nearly every day. I like seeing what new content is being added by Netflix. My only issue is that the app is visually dated and needs refreshing in a major way. There hasn't been an update in over 3 years which makes me think the dev has abandoned it. It won't keep me from using the app but it's a constant reminder of how apps looked back in the day.
Good concept but no updates in 3 years & crashes
While the Instant Watcher website is quite useful, and this app was probably equally as useful as the full site back when it was first released, it is clear the developer has no intentions of updating the app and keeping it running on newer iOS versions.
I installed it on iOS 9 and it just keeps crashing. Completely useless app until the developer decides to update it.
