InstaSaber is the first AR app that allows you to instantly turn an ordinary piece of paper into a virtual saber and swing it around in realtime!
Choose your saber effects and take a photo or record a video to share with your friends.
1. Hold the saber in the CENTER (not the end)
2. Works best in indirect lighting (e.g. a dimmed room or shaded area)
3. Hold the phone and InstaSaber as far apart as possible (it may feel awkward with shorter arms)
4. Follow the tips that show up at the bottom of the screen.
Please Note: This app is free to download and use, but has additional premium features available with a one-time, in-app purchase, such as changing the color of the saber and extended recording time.
More features coming soon : )
-iOS 13 support
-Ultrawide camera support
-Sound recording improvements
-Bug fixes and improvements

Ummmmm... so I got the app and i thought wow this is actually good! So I decided to get the premium because, i mean it’s only a buck. So I type in my password and it goes ding but all the premium things are locked! I close the app and open it again but it’s still locked! I didn’t buy it again because I thought it was a scam. My question is... is it a scam because if I need to do it again just tell me. Thx! Your app works really well and it’s very fun, i am looking forward to updates!
Not quite there but a great start
For years I’ve been wanting to rotoscope lightsabers on home videos. More recently it occurred to me that iOS devices have great cameras and good enough CPUs to do it all in app. For years I scoured the App Store for such a thing. Turns out “there’s an app for that“ is not always true.
This application is ambitious and tries to do it all automatically using AR which is genius. Unfortunately the result is imperfect and glitchy. I would be OK with more manual intervention on the user’s end either before or after the video is short. I’d be ok if the requirements were more onerous, such as printing a special pattern for the light saber handle that makes it easier for the app to find it.
The ability to draw the light saber when the body of the subject is completely in the frame.
Horizontal videos please.
Nevertheless, I’ve paid the in app purchase and had fun, and I hope the developer is encouraged to keep improving this app.
I love this app but one problem
So I have been playing this app for a while and this bug keeps happening when my saber has a weird position. I don’t mind much but when the app starts to quit making my saber appear I got annoyed. I still think this is a fantastic game and I encourage whoever reads this to play it. Thank you for hearing me
