24/7 Virtual Care
The Intermountain Health Connect Care app allows you or your child to visit with an Intermountain Health clinician for certain urgent care conditions using your phone or tablet. If you have cold or flu symptoms, sinus pain, sore throat, painful urination, a minor rash or skin issue, upset stomach, or other minor symptoms, use Connect Care 24/7/365 to quickly and conveniently get the care you need from wherever you are – just $69 a visit. Many insurance plans accepted.

Connect Care is a convenient, affordable way to get care from Intermountain Health clinicians. Our highly-trained, board certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants have many years of experience in urgent care, clinics, and hospitals, and are specially trained to provide care using telehealth. Your doctor will also be able to see the results of your visit in your medical record, and can incorporate it into your overall care. When appropriate for your condition, we can prescribe and deliver your prescription to your home or nearest pharmacy.

Connect Care is not appropriate for all conditions. If you are unsure of whether you are having a life-threatening medical emergency, or are experiencing any of the following, please go to your nearest ER:

· Chest pain or pressure

· Uncontrolled bleeding

· Sudden or severe pain

· Coughing / vomiting blood

· Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

· Sudden dizziness, weakness, change in vision, slurred speech, numbness, or other neurological changes

· Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea

· Changes in mental status, such as confusion

· Assault, physical or sexual abuse, or child abuse

If you use Apple Health, you can choose to import your health information – such as heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, blood glucose levels, weight, nutritional information, and respiratory rate – into your Connect Care account.

Love the iPhone tv dr visits

Even with a doctor in person, when you are talking to them you don’t have their undivided attention. And they seem like they are hurried. This phone tv visit they look at the camera right st me the whole time. Try aren’t looking at their iPhone or at my charts. Then they wait like they want to hear everything in your mind. They don’t make me feel rushed.

The only thing I don’t like is all the pre-visit stuff. That video at the beginning with the Intermountain big wig is lame. The wait time should give you a countdown. At the beginning it says a certain person is available. But by the time you do all the stuff, they are busy. Then you wait wait wait. Afraid to press cancel to not have to start over. So time until connection would be great.

Or, first do the interrogation, then show who is available.

Impressed

I was a little hesitant about the whole thing but I’m visiting family out of state and just needed some help for a sore throat and swollen tonsils and the doctor was awesome! You can attach pictures before you connect with the dr so she could see that my throat was red and swollen and she was so nice and helpful. The wait wasn’t bad either. Much better than in a drs office or an urgent care that I was considering. The one thing that happened was it asked for my home address which I put Utah because that’s where I live but put California as my prescription pick up location because that’s where I’m visiting, and so the dr had to cancel our initial call because those need to match. But! She said to edit that info real quick and get back in her waiting line and she’d put me in the front of her line so it all worked out great. I’m very impressed and will definitely use it again

Awesome option!

I’ve used Connect Care four times now and had a positive experience each time. The providers have been excellent, compassionate, listen well, and have helped me. Connect Care has saved me time and money. My copay is cheaper when I see an online provider. I can wait in the privacy of my home and the wait has always been faster than when I have gone into physical clinics. I don’t have to worry about taking my kids with me or finding child care for them. The visits take less time. The providers have also given me notes for my employer when needed. It’s perfect for things that a doctor doesn’t need to actually conduct a physical evaluation to diagnose. If only they could find a way to do strep tests digitally! 🤣🤣 I will definitely use Connect Care in the future and I highly recommend it to others.
