I find this app easy to use and I find myself using it often- checking my balance, transferring funds and even mobile deposit (that was hard to get used to, but now I love it!). Intrust has been my bank for over a decade now and they have treated me better than any other bank I have held an account at.
Good - if you don’t care about Face ID
The biggest flaw is that the app frequently forgets how to log you in with Face ID. The point of Face ID is to not have to re-enter your password on a regular basis. My conclusion is that the bank should have contracted with a more competent software house who could actually figure out how to support this feature reliably. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of another app I use that supports Face ID that has this problem.
Update - dropped to 2 stars, because it lost the password again. The people with responsibility for mobile banking should be reviewing their relationship with their software house. The time for hard questions to be asked of the software house is over. The time to ask the legal department to sever the relationship has come.
This app isn’t consistent
It has locked me out almost 10 times now over the past year and a half. It locked me out on the day I was going to buy a car 2 months ago. Do you know how embarrassing/inconvenient it was at the end of that process to get locked out and I could quickly transfer money from my savings to my checking or even show him my current bank account totals. I had to go through the whole mobile website process which is so slow compared to the app ( when it works).
I’ll be leaving INTRUST bank strictly because of this app. I’d rather pay a few more random fees a year and be able to use/see my money immediately every time.
