Greetings Island Review

This app has been an outstanding choice. I enjoy event planning as a passion and use this app plenty. However, I did not go into depth on the details of its high qualities. The function of this app is used greatly as it has many terrific templates to use as a design. Whether being a baby shower or a birthday, this app has it all! Greetings Island also has few features that allow the user to personalize it to their own comforts. These alterations include adding additional text and stickers. There are accommodations that are an optional change to the text. These are the font types, sizes, color, and alignment of the text. Greetings Island is very generous with ads that you could simple close instead of impatiently waiting with a video ad. With various features and qualities involved all throughout Greetings Island, this app is guaranteed to bring success to itself and to all its users!

My Favorite 2020 App

Oh, my gosh! I love this app. I love receiving snail mail and cards from others, and this year I was determined to do the same for my friends and family. But, there was one problem. My handwriting is terrible. People would have to call me to decipher my handwriting. The process of having to translate caused the whole thoughtful factor of sending the card to be utterly lost. So to avoid this hassle, I had to get on my computer, come up with a card design, and type up my message. This chore took me forever, so I never did it.

Until I discovered this app. I can now be sitting with my family watching a show, I am not really watching, pick a card, jot down a few lines, and BAM...be done. I love customized and personal cards and notes; this app allows me to do that. Plus, it’s free.

I so love this thing. Thank you, thank you to the developers.

But there are some annoyances. For instance, you cannot shift a text box to properly center it on your printed pages — that is the case with the inside page and the last page. While it makes the printed card look a bit awkward, it is not enough to stop using this app.

Templates are nice but there’s room for improvement

I’m rating a 3 because it’s nice that there’s so much plug and play potential with the templates but if you want to do any sort of customization or modifications your options are incredibly limited. I found a template I really wanted to use that required a picture for the background but with my picture, the labels on top were hard to read. There’s no way to make labels have a non-transparent background. The template had some shapes so I thought it would be neat to add a shape to take care of the background issue but there’s no way to add shapes! Somehow the template had some built in non-editable shapes. There are shape stickers but the stickers are non generic and most of them have transparent backgrounds as well, which didn’t solve any of my problems. I ended up re-making the template in Apple’s Freeform app and got a pretty much identical template to the one that I liked in the app. Freeform gave me the flexibility of customizing invitations that Greetings Island can’t.
