iOT Screener is an application developed by Dr. Frederick B. Covington, OTD, to assist in the proper development, well-being, and intervention (if needed) for children. The app does this by allowing a user to input general information about the child and themselves and answer a series of Yes/No questions. For children under the age of five, the app’s questions pertain to developmental milestones and progress typical to the child’s age. For children over the age of five/school aged the app looks at maladaptive traits or behaviors noticed that may affect academic performance or everyday tasks.
When the questions are completed, the user is presented with an analysis. For children ages under 5, the app reveals what percentages of developmental milestones are currently being met. For the children over five/school aged, it reveals the percentage of maladaptive traits observed. The ratings are categorized as;
No Concern: Functioning Within Normal Limits
If any concerns are raised after viewing the results, the app is also capable of locating the appropriate medical professional. A database of professionals consisting of Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, Pediatricians, Physical Therapists, and Speech Pathologists, can be searched and allows the user to find the medical professional closest to their location.

Ratings and Reviews
Loved the description and it sounds great, however, I registered and got started but when I went to put my daughter's birthdate in, the app froze. I closed it and tried to reopen it. I tried to login and it says "the user does not exist". I tried to re-register and it tells me that the email is already in use. So it just keeps me in limbo without anyway to actually use the app. Very very disappointed.
Very useful app. Questions and results seem age appropriate. I like that the percent of milestones met, along with description (minimal level of concern etc) are included. Reports are saved and can be emailed. Great!
Wishes: 1. Be able to could just choose one area to rate (like language) without having to go through all areas. 2. See answers so that you know what to observe or teach, and then edit answers.
No idea if signing up as a professional vs doctor has more questions or result info...
I am a kindergarten teacher and carefully monitor all the kids under my and my staff's care. This tool is imperative to every daycare center, every kindergarten class, and every parent. It is a great resource for knowing what stages the children are at and actually what we need to be working on in regards to developmental stages.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
