Description
The Iowa Department of Revenue’s Alcoholic Beverages Division provides this app as a supplemental tool to assist Iowa retailers in verifying the age of customers while selling or serving alcohol, tobacco, alternative nicotine or vapor products. The app has built-in scanning functionality using the camera feature to scan state-issued physical IDs and verify Iowa Mobile IDs. The capability to verify mobile IDs from additional states will be added as information becomes available. The app also provides access to an age to purchase calendar and a date of birth calculator to assist in age verification. Links to both the I-PACT and I-PLEDGE Retailer Training Programs are included in the app. This app is strictly a supplemental tool and is not a replacement for any reasonable and necessary steps or factual evidence that may be needed to determine the age of a person. No personal information of the customer is stored on the device.

Is there a update for the app? I’ve had this id app for sometime now and when I scan a id now it says unable to validate. Is there any fixes for it. Kramer bar
Works great! Minors Beware!!
I work at a bar In Kansas City, we have an expensive ID scanner that will accept fake ID as if it was real. But when I use this app and scan a fake ID it will say “unable to validate” which means it’s a fake ID. I highly recommend this app to any door guy/ bartender who thinks that an ID might be fake. Oh it also works on multiple state ID’s I’ve literally seen every single state ID and never had a problem with this app. Love it!
Does It’s Job
I work at a convenience store in Missouri. We’ve caught a number of kids using fake IDs to buy vapes, liquor and tobacco products. Our registers can’t seem to weed them out but this app does. Thank you.
