The Prophet VS's rareness and classic digital sound make it a mainstay for those who can find them. The sound is purely classic crisp digital sound that easily stands on its own, but at the same time is the perfect compliment to the sound of analog synthesizers. iProphet brings the crystaline vintage sound of four digital oscillators and allows sculpting them using a creamy and warm multimode filter.
iProphet comes with over 500 presets created by some of todays best sound designers. Use it in Tabletop to compose your music. You can morph the sound of the 4 oscillators using the joystick or the vector mode and the vector envelope. You can also swap presets between iProphet and Arturia's Prophet V synthesizer which allows you to work on the iPad and finish in the DAW of your choice.
iProphet is a Tabletop Ready app. The connect menu allows you to connect iProphet to the Retronyms Tabletop app, giving you an integration with a complete studio environment. Tabletop also features add-ons for more effects and instruments from other 3rd party companies.
iProphet supports Core MIDI, interapp-audio as well as Audiobus technologies for perfect integration. The use of the brands 'Prophet' and 'Sequencial Circuits' is done with permission of Dave Smith Instruments.

Does this have all the sounds of the prophet 5 ?
Come on Arturia, you can do better
I’m a big fan of Arturia, I own the Minibrute 2, the Microbrute , Beatstep and the V collection, as well as all Arturia IOS apps.
My issue isn’t sound related because it sounds great. It did crash on launch when I opened it today but worked fine when I reopened it. I can’t say whether it crashes on a regular basis because I rarely open it now. The reason being is that I use Audio Units. I use Isem a lot because it sounds great and it’s an Audio Unit. I really don’t use any other Arturia iOS apps now because they’ve become dated and somewhat obsolete now because imo the future and present of iOS music production is auv3. Either Arturia doesn’t grasp or they do and don’t care and are shooting themselves in the foot and losing sales because of it. If you make IOS synths that aren’t audio units then you clearly have not done any homework. Audiobus and iaa are nice but that was yesterday’s news. Arturias desktop apps are all audio units and vst’s. What’s going on guys, you can do better than this.
This product is not in a fully finished state. There is no user wavetable support, as with the real VS, though there appear to be slots for them in memory. There are four pan knobs which don’t do anything (presumably for 8 notes of polyphony - it looks like this is limited to 4 notes; reminds me of Casio CZ101). Stuck notes occur, and patches change attributes just by up/down selection of patches - they seem to turn on or off their own mono/poly status (???!!!). Lots of glitches and clicks/pops. Sometimes weird whistling sounds.
I have the Arturia Synclavier V2 plugin for my laptop and it is truly world class (I learned the Synclavier in college so I have experience with the real thing). How this Arturia product remains so incomplete and buggy is a mystery to me. It’s almost as if it wasn’t designed by the same engineers.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
