I have always wanted to have an app like this but didn't want to pay 25 bucks For the Jaadu vnc... The only problem is that I can't see the computer screen on my iPod so I have to be in the same room to be able to see what I'm doing, so right now it just acts as another mouse/keyboard. Having said that, I have a lot of fun using this app. Whenver someone is on the computer I can mess with their typing and mouse or use the shell and pop up random minesweeper games. This needs a troubleshooting guide. If I could get the screen to work, I would give it 5 stars. Until then, 3.
I got the view to work! 5 stars!
Works just as it says, but ...
Pros: Works well, good responsiveness, easy to install and set up. I was very impressed with ease of setup. And it is amazing to see my Vista desktop on my iPhone.
Cons: Functionally, the "mouse" pointer/cursor stays still and you bring what you want to select to the cursor. But scrolling is exactly opposite of iPhone scrolling - you scroll down to go up, up to go down, right to go left, etc. So that made it very hurky-jerky for me. Also, you are only seeing a small portion of the screen and the touchscreen is not fully active (no reduce or zoom) and no widescreen mode. This made navigation difficult.
Future enhancement: Want to connect remotely, not just from within the local LAN.
Could be good, but buggy and no reply from customer support
This app works great on my iphone and iMac over the internet (with the iphone on 3g and port routed through my router), but the app freezes when trying to connect over my local wifi network. Reinstalling hasn't helped. Customer service has not replied to 2 e-mails so far over 2 weeks, we'll see if they reply to my third one. This app is not functional to me if I have to turn off wifi access to get it to work.... If they're charging money for the app they need to at least provide basic customer support or an avenue for a refund when it doesn't work.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
