Description

Every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break, and look at something 20 feet away.

This is the 20-20-20 rule often recommended by eye doctors to help prevent digital eye strain. The average office worker spends 7 hours a day on the computer screen. That's too much - you need to take breaks in between! Iris: 20-20-20 can help remedy your problem. This app helps you follow the 20-20-20 rule.

Iris allows your eyes to rest and keep eye tissue flexible. The app is super simple to use. Just turn on the switch, and follow the prompts.

This app will remind you to take a break every 20 minutes. At the 20 minute mark, you open the app and tap on the timer to start the 20 second countdown. You then look at something that's at least 20 feet away while holding your device. When the 20 seconds are up, the app will vibrate to let you know that the break is over, and the 20 minute timer restarts itself. Rinse and repeat throughout the day - your eyes will thank you!

Iris: 20-20-20 is THE APP to keep your eyes healthy and rested!

No longer works

I used to really like this app to help with eye strain. Unfortunately, it no longer consistently alerts me. Sometimes it vibrates my phone, but most of the time it doesn’t, even with the app running in the background.

Alarm doesn’t work

I really like the idea of this app, but the notification features don’t work on my phone. I have an iPhone 8 Plus so I’m not sure if it’s not iPhone compatible or if it’s a software issue. Hopefully it will be upgraded at some point.

Good idea needs improvement

It should be able to use different sounds and vibrate to not annoy others around you. It would be useful if you could choose your work days.
