Important Note
ISAAC Connect requires an ISAAC electronic logging device (ELD) installed and registered with a monthly service plan. This app is not meant to replace ISAAC InControl’s core in-cab solution that complies to US and Canadian ELD regulations.
The carrier must enable communications between ISAAC InControl and ISAAC Connect. Ask your carrier to activate your access!
For your own safety and that of others, do not use ISAAC Connect when your vehicle is in motion.

One of the worst

This system is, I cannot even comprehend why it works the way it works, I know it’s not just the system itself but my company too, for example the app for the phone doesn’t even have a notification system so when I’m off duty and the company has an issue goes straight to the system yet I never receive it when I’m on duty and when I am it’s to late… the inspection tab like seriously why do we have two separate inspections one in the dash board and below logbook? I have to go to the main menu hit post/pre trip manually put it in when there’s an inspection tab that all of post and pre can fit into what should happen is when you hit inspection the left side should refresh to “dashboard, messages, trips, pre/post

Developer Response ,

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. Regarding the first part of your review about the cell phone notifications, please know that our team is working on this feature. For the portion of your comment on inspections, your comment refers to our in-cab solution ISAAC InControl (the rugged tablet installed in the truck) and not our mobile application ISAAC Connect. We invite you to contact your carrier if you have questions about ISAAC in-cab functionality because enabling certain features is the carrier's decision. Thank you.

This app needs a lot of updates!!

It’s super slow and even when you have stopped driving it will not unlock in order to let you use it. Yes I know the Isaac unit in my truck will not recognize that I’ve stopped driving for 5 minutes which I think is kind of long (any other ELD unit I have used has been under 3 minutes some have been as soon as the truck comes to a complete stop) unless I pull my break but the Isaac app sometimes will be upwards of 15 to 20 minutes before it recognizes that I have stopped driving and lets you use it. Can this be fixed?? Thank you.

I felt compelled to respond to your response. I fully understand the fact that ISAAC Connect is watching or reading my hours of service and seeing if I’m on the driveline or not and when I’m off the driveline for 15 minutes and ISAAC Connect is still not allowing me to use the app because it says I’m still drive line and I have to keep hitting the try again button and logging out and logging back in because the app keeps crashing that has nothing to do with my cell phone service that has to do with the app because all the other apps on my phone are working just perfectly fine.
That means there’s a problem with the app because my actual Isaac unit in my truck is is showing that I’m not driving and I’ve been sitting for longer than 15 minutes in the off duty status or sometimes the on duty loading status. The app is not responsive at all it errors out a lot crashes a lot, and takes forever to send a message.
i’m home on the weekends and sometimes I depend on the app in order to get my load information for Monday and most times I can’t depend on the app to look at my load information because it’s not working properly. so again I ask is there a way this can be fixed? my company has just recently started using Isaac me personally, I don’t like the way it works but I can’t change what my company has chosen for their new ELD I can only hope the people that have developed it can fix it!

But when I write a review or when I have a complaint, the person’s response is to try to tell me how to use it and then blame it on my cell phone company. I’m not stupid when it comes to using electronic logging devices. I’ve been doing them for a long time, I fully understand how they work and I know about the driveline and all of that kind of stuff so please do not insult my intelligence and blame your app not working on my cell phone service and being on the driveline!

Developer Response ,

Hi, please ensure you have good cellular coverage because the application is very responsive. To respect your privacy, ISAAC Connect is not using your GPS position to understand if your vehicle is moving. ISAAC Connect is looking at Hours of Service status, and as long as your status is set to driving, you will not be allowed to use the app for safety reasons.

For the ISAAC ELD (which is not the ISAAC Connect mobile app), the ELD mandate (ELD Technical Standard article(s): 4.4.1.2) requires that drivers be prompted to set their duty status when driving has stopped for 5 consecutive minutes. If the prompt remains unanswered for 1 minute, the duty status will be set to On-Duty, recording the previous 6 minutes in driving. At ISAAC, we decided to immediately prompt the driver to help them. Drivers must develop the habit of indicating their status when they pull the brakes or turn off the engine. Any other behavior does not respect the ELD mandate. If your system is not behaving this way, please get in touch with your carrier, as they might have to look at the gateway's configuration in your vehicle.
