After having noticed a glitch with adding “Period” edits in the Event Log that caused the app to crash, I emailed their support and got an email back not even a day a later. They asked me what specific actions were causing the issue, and I told them the steps to recreate it. Within 2 days they fixed the issue, and released an update, and now it works perfectly. Overall they have great customer service and I wanted to make that known.

Not bad, they should add 3s for turnovers and assists to turnover ratios… I wouldn’t mind adding which ref called the fouls and when the team misses a shot what player prevented it, that would be insane but some room to advance it, oh yea… they should add the type of shot too layup, jump shot, and tip ins aren’t the only ones… floaters and fade a way shots are some… need to add 3seconds in the turnover category!!!

iscout is one of at least 5 apps with 4/5 star ratings which is no surprise since using an app is more fun and more complete than paper and pencil. The strengths of this app are easy scoring of major stats, OK editing and good reports/shot charts. Unfortunately, TRACKING SUBSTITUTIONS IS POORLY DESIGNED AND TOO SLOW. As the game is on, you must leave the main page, select who goes in and out and then go back to the main entry page. If the team plays at a fast pace and frequently subs more than one player, this turns out to be the the most annoying part of tracking all the stat. Even if you don’t care about playing time or advanced stats, you’d like to get the subs right to make all the other stats easier to track. I didn’t realize how important this step is until I started using this app. Prior to being deleted, the user forum had repeated requests/comments about subbing starting back in 2010. Unfortunately, the app updates mainly improve data sharing with partner websites. I hope I’m wrong, but it is hard to have any faith that the developers will improve the subbing problems. Time to look for an alternative.

This is a great app. I have been using it for years to keep the stats for my daughters basketball games. It is very easy to use and creates a very nice report that I can email to the coaches and the parents after every game. It also provides a very nice season summary for each player. I can add photos of the players which helps me easily identify them so I can credit the stats to the appropriate player instead of remembering numbers and names of the players. It is also easy to edit the stats if I noticed I made an mistake during the game and later if I need to. Anyway I love it and the players and coaches love the reports I provide following each game. So much easier than the manual way I used to keep the stats on a form I created. then I would go home and input the data in an excel spreadsheet to put it in a format that I could email to the coaches. Now as soon as the game is complete, I can email the stats to the entire team and the output looks very professional!
