Very good although there is a problem with M1

I was really happy with this application. However last week I bought a new M1-based Macbook Pro and found that the Screenshoy app icannot be saved on the disk. To use it I have to go back to the Apple store and click 'Open'. Previously it was accesible as the icon on the top of computer display.
Dear developer, can you fix it for the M1 type of Mac?

Needs delay timer

When trying to capture details it's often necessary to delay the snip process until you can activate hidden menus by hovering on them or other 'if,then' functions. The lack of timer on this app is a big negative for me.

Poor screen snipping options has been one of the big surprises for me making the switch from Windows to Mac as Mac has reputation for ease of creativity... Not in this case with screen snipping - (not to mention inability to custom image resize after pasting into mail).
With Mac we need to pay for apps that function much worse than the free apps included with windows. I'm hoping to be wrong and discover improved functionality - without paying more.

Excellent tool, but needs a couple more features.

I got this to replace Skitch when I upgraded to an M2 Mac. It has some wonderful features, but needs a few more (perhaps for a modestly-priced paid version) and get it to 5 stars.

1. I would prefer it to not me modal, so that I can select an area of a specific size, then tweak the window(s) that are inside that area before capturing it, such as expand a drop-down item.

2. I would like the option to recapture the previously selected area (in case I need a redo).

3. A bonus would be paste the clipboard back into a select window for further editing.

4. I'd prefer to not have to click twice on the menu icon to select one of the three functions (capture/OCR/Record). Let me configure which to show directly on the menu bar.

5. I've read other reviews and see people wanting an instant capture from a selection. Please make that an option if implemented. The delay to edit and click OK is needed, especially re: 1 above.
