Mac Mini quad core 2012, 16 gb, El Capitan and a Logitech webcam, don’t remember model, C920? C922?

Motion detection is extremely sensitive, so it took some getting used to. But it does seem to work well.

The problem is the capture is not very good. First it won’t record higher than 1280x720. And it doesn’t record audio in sync with video. And worst of all it records in some kind of strange slow-motion effect. Webcam works fine with other tools, so i know it’s not the web cam.

Playing video back the audio is recorded normal but video is slower, so the video and audio quickly get out of sync, and the audio finishes before the video. Very strange.

Tried this before buying pro. If this is how it works, I’d have been pretty ticked spending $30 for this quality of recording.

I live with a few roomates and noticed them trying to open my door a couple times (when they weren’t aware I was in there). I am going to use this to figure out who it is that is trying to sneak in.

So far, the application works exactly as I expected and hoped for. iSentry sends notifications successfuly; for some reason I wasn’t able to set it up with a gmail address, so, I had to use another email service. I am not sure if that is an issue with the application or my gmail account. The motion detecting works very well, you are even able to change the threshold for when the recording starts. You can change the length for the delay timer. You can also choose where to save the files. I have decided to save the recordeings into an iCloud synced folder in my documents, thus, when something is recorded and I see the notification, I can check the recording via my iPhone while I am away.

If you are looking for a simple but reliable application for your security needs, iSentry definitely fits the bill.

For over 6 months we have been missing money from our home every now an then. I kept thinking I was misplacing it but when it happened once 2 often I knew something was up.
I supected my next door neighbour but had no evidence to show. Frustration brought me to Google and I found this app, because I could not bother with setting up a security system.
Since the computer was always home and he never stole it, I knew that was not his goal, so I left home today, setup iSentry and I am happy to say the cops took him to jail tonight. Thanks iSentry, your software worked great! Motion detection, then I instantly saved the videos to iCloud Drive and boom, evidence on hand!
