HOW TO USE iSHRUG:

iShrug will show up in the app drawer in the Messages app (like stickers)
1. Open an existing conversation thread in Messages or start a new conversation.
2. Tap on the App Store icon next to the conversation box and then tap on the tree dots to open your app drawer, which houses all installed iMessage apps and stickers.
3. Tap on the iShrug icon (ツ)
4. Select your favourite text art and send

MANAGING:

1. Open Messages and tap the Compose button to start a new message. Or go to an existing conversation.
2. Swipe left over the app drawer and tap the More button .
3. Tap Edit button to manage or reorder stickers. Or swipe left over the app to Delete.

If the stickers won't open, re-open Messages app (swipe-up and open again).

Fun app; but not working with Family Sharing

I enjoy using this app with iMessage. It has inspired my family to look up and try using ASCII in messages, too, but we discovered although it says on the App Store page it supports Family Sharing it fails to install and instead the family member gets a message the app has been removed or cancelled...? So now my son asks me to send him stuff so he can copy and paste it to his friends. :/

Fun app, great support!

It's great when a cool, fun app works well and is elegantly integrated into the iPhone, and this is one of those apps! It's a simple to use extension of the iMessage app and lets you add unique emogis that remind me of the old asci text images back in the day. Great support too - got a very quick and super helpful and friendly email reply to help me with a download issue - after you download the app and do the necessary configuration in managing it through iMessage, you simply need to exit/close iMessage fully, and restart it, and whala, ishrug emogis are at your fingertips - you can even copy and paste them outside of the app (ᵔᴥᵔ).

Don’t blame the app if you don’t know how it works

Hilarious. I have a keyboard replacement called “kshurg” that’ll expand to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and here this iShrug lol (I use “k” for “kaomoji” the Japanese name of this type of “emoji.”

I downloaded this and got concerned about the low rating. Wow, first 5 most critical are saying it’s not showing or cannot delete. People, it’s a Message app... 🤦🏻‍♂️ you use it in “message” when you text lol you also delete it from there... don’t give 1 star because you don’t know how it works lol. It’s like getting a manual car and blame the car when you don’t know how to drive a stick.

For the developer, I guess your best bet is to make it so clearly known that this is a Message App and include the removing instruction somewhere easily found lol

Otherwise thanks for this and I’d recommend making it an actual keyboard perhaps so I can also shrug at other places, like Reddit and Facebook ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
