Isla Grace Sleep 4+

I think almost every baby app I’ve downloaded has thrown sleep training in my face at some point or another. The baby-led approach that Isla Grace Sleep teaches really saved me when I felt I was failing as a parent when my baby was around 4/5 months and struggling to sleep in her bassinet/waking what felt like constantly. I considered sleep training but ultimately decided against it and opted to co sleep. Now my daughter is 17 months and waking only once a night and we bedshare on a floor bed which works so well. This app is only for babies 0-12 months but I had to download it and check it out/I wanted to give a good review for an app developed by a true infant sleep expert. If you are looking for an app to track infant sleep while also getting other content about healthy infant sleep behavior and access to sleep coaches who will never encourage you to ignore your baby, this is the app for you. It is refreshing to know there is now an app that will never try to convince you that you need to sleep train your baby.

So very grateful for this resource in my life! Great layout! Easy to read snippets here and there during my busy lifestyle! Love love love! I struggled with breastfeeding early on in my parenting journey, so I was recommended to bedshare and breastfeed overnight to increase production. There is just not a lot of acceptance or education about all forms of sleep. I feel so seen as many ways are presented as being just as acceptable of a parenting choice as the prevalent, “cry-it-out as baby sleeps all night all the time in a crib” standard. I really love that this app gives information, education, and is positive about the parent making the best informed decision for their family at the time.

Lauren’s approach to sleep changed my life. It’s realistic about different temperament babies and never encourages you to not respond and “let them learn.” I’m just a mom trying to raise a baby with a healthy attachment and to know that they are safe while also needing to sleep for my own sanity and Lauren hears that! Let’s stop listening to the world and our pediatricians about sleep and following our instincts as mothers. Forever grateful to Lauren.
