Brain entrainment as easy as it gets

The Isochronic Tone Generator does just what it says: You can create any Isochronic Tone (between 0.01 and 50Hz) with a carrier between 50 and 999Hz.

You can also mix the tone with your own music, set the wave volume in the mix, set a timer (up to 59 mins), program target isochronic frequencies for your brain entrainment sessions, use presets to start easy entrainment sessions and memory slots to put your favorite tones.

As simple as it gets... Enjoy!

* Variable carrier tone
* Variable isochronic tone
* Fine tune for carrier, isochronic and target frequencies
* Mix the tone with your own music
* Wave volume for better mixing
* Timer (up to 59 minutes)
* Entrainment sessions: Just set the target frequency using the black indicator below the isochronic tone.
* Presets (sleep, relax, awake and meditate)
* Memory slots: for having your favorite tones one tap away

Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone used for brainwave entrainment. Similar to monaural beats, the interference pattern that produces the beat is outside the brain so headphones are not required for entrainment to be effective. They differ from monaural beats, which are constant sine wave pulses rather than entirely separate pulses of a single tone. As the contrast between noise and silence is more pronounced than the constant pulses of monaural beats, the stimulus is stronger and has a greater effect on brain entrainment (taken from:

Great and simple app for brain hacking!

I’ve been using and making binaural beats, then Isochronic tones for my own personal research/curiosity for years and wished there was a simple app that did just this. Thanks for making this tool! It’s so stable and I love that it can play while other sounds are going .

Could I request the carrier frequency range be increased to 20khz? Higher 12-14khz sounds are very nice on the ears with gamma brain waves in the 40-55hz range.

Awesome flexibility

I bought this app to use with a Bluetooth speaker, since most binaural beats require headphones to be effective. The sliders allow you to set the exact frequencies you want, which gives you much more flexibility compared to some of the pre-made audio tracks available. And there are 4 memory buttons that you can use to save the specific frequencies if you find a combination that is particularly effective for you, as well as 4 built-in frequency presets to get you started. And the built-in timer is also incredibly convenient!

The functionality of the app is perfect, and the only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars was for minor issues with the interface. Because the main controls are sliders, there not 100% accurate. But clicking on the arrows doesn’t change the value of the slider, but takes you to a different page with a picker control. This page is also where the specific information about the different frequencies is located, but it would be nice if there was a centralized location where you could read up on all the different types of frequencies and their benefits.

Basically things are a bit spread out, and for a paid app, I’d expect things to be a bit more organized. Other than that, it works great!

Excellent control- Needs more range

"I love the complete control over every thing, however I personally have been using binaural beats of 0.5hz and a carrier wave of 30hz for quite some time with very good results. Very disappointed this had such limited range. That's the one thing I would change, and would make it 5 stars. By limiting it to 4hz you cut off man brain entrainment modes." Edit- Issue was addressed by the developer, app now works very happily for me.
