Description

The unsung hero for all your emergencies - getting you invaluable data, information, and details for first-response success. Flexible technology for all emergency-related agencies including fire, police, EMS, and more. All live streaming, constantly updating.

An iSpyFire account is required to use this application.

Features include:

Call notification
Call information
Call location
Map layers
Address history
Directions
Responding
Apparatus specific features including AVL and personnel on board

BATTERY CONSUMPTION
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. iSpyFire has been designed to use GPS and other sensors sparingly. The app relies on location data only while you are responding to a location or when you are attempting to create a new location (except when an apparatus is in AVL mode, in which case it is constantly checking).

Keep trying to update…

The old app worked well in so many ways. The new update leaves a lot to be desired.

Notifications: I do like being to test the notification alert. However, the notifications are defaulting to the system notification tone, not what is selected in the app. This is problematic as it can be easily missed. Despite manipulating a lot of the settings, the notification will not play the typical sound.

Closed calls: What was once a highlight of the app has now turned to a detriment. Closed calls are not viewable for the districts I work for, nor anywhere else in the county. Though it is selected, “Show Closed Calls” button doesn’t produce any results.

The app force closes frequently, which makes finding an address of a call very difficult.

As one of those who tested the Beta version and sent tons of feedback, it seems that the product pushed out was not properly vetted.

Bugs to work out

The app updated this morning and I think they are working diligently to fix it. Some issues I still have are: - not being able to switch to dark mode only in the app (meaning I don’t have to change my phone’s overall setting for the black background in iSpy) - being able to turn sound off from the app’s navigation system. I hit a button in the app and it would not stop navigating out loud - app crashing randomly - app logging me out - being able to switch agency and not see calls from other agencies I’m affiliated with that use iSpy - being able to see closed calls. Even though I hit show closed calls, they’re not showing. This means I will need to call dispatch for address and times if they haven’t already been written down. The previous app honestly worked fine other than the occasional times it would go offline. The only thing I wish it had was being able to use google maps instead of the native phone map which for iPhone is Apple Maps. Some people may like Apple Maps, but I don’t and would like to have the option to use google. There have already been improvements from the update this morning, but still having issues.

Bring back the old version

New version worked much better. New version glitches out when accessing through the notification bar on lock screens. New version won’t automatically refresh when in the app. The only thing that is an upgrade to the old version is the maps.
