Stripped Down ATAK but coming along

I’ve been following this project for a while. There have been leaps & bounds. While there is still some to be desired with iTAK. It is a great option & allows compatibility with the TAK servers. I would like to see this become as fully capable as ATAK some day. Right now I currently wish that I could upload packages to the server from iTAK. One bug I noticed is that even if I’ve read a message through the chat tool, the notification still shows until I go to notifications to read it. It would be nice if the notifications cleared no matter how I got there. Thanks TAK TEAM! Keep it going. Let’s get this puppy fully functional!

It’s a great app, but…

I cannot add my team to the contacts, and with “fire season” about to be blowing and going, it’s critical to add them. My specific location shows up in real time with no delay (which is great), but it shows that I am not connected. There are no directions on the website as to how to use navigate the app OR add contacts which is a bit discouraging.

Clearly, there are several wrinkles to iron out and it’s a great start. However, I am hoping this is up and running to full capacity before the wild fires are out of control and my team is deployed.

Developer Response ,

Great suggestion. We are adding this to the list of features to come.

Handy app

I really like the concept and overall it’s pretty well done. One issue I have is when creating a point of interest I am unable to rename it from the default. I can change the coordinates, add comments, and add a photo but the window will not allow me to scroll up to access the name. Quite frustrating as this seems like a minor coding issue but it makes it difficult to determine what a point represents without clicking on it.
