iTek Health Scale 12+

My iPhone is a-year-old this absolutely will not pair with it I’ve tried 15 times different ways. My laptop is a year and a half old and I even tried it several times and it will not pair with it either. I have a lot of things that my iPhone is paired with speakers my Fitbit and so on and this will not pair. I like the scale so I’m giving it three out of five stars because I like the scale but if I based on what I bought it for which was to pair it with my phone it will get a -10 stars!!!!!!

I see most of the negative reviews are due to inability to pair the app with the scale or unable to register/login, etc. I had no problem connecting the app. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it has worked consistently and accurately with no problems. I am able to view and track each measurement the scale is listed as capable of recording. In the stats section of the app I can scroll through and see each of the individual measurements and a correlating visual plotted graph. Maybe I just lucked out with the app. This is just a guess, but I wonder if the app issues could be related to the amount of available memory/storage space on the phone. I only wonder this since I have a lot of available storage on my phone and haven’t had any of the issues that so many people have indicated in their reviews.

Able to get app and scale to work with weight only so far. Pairing the two requires that you enable bluetooth on phone. Don’t expect to see the device in discovery mode. Schwinn exercise bikes work the same way. You have to be in the app with bluetooth on and the device on. The app will ask you to pair with your device, then they will communicate. So far I’ve only use the app as guest and so far have only been able to get weight on scale. No other measurements.

I give it four stars for the scale working as expected. I take away one star out of five because of the mindset that everything I own must be paired with an app that logs into a manufacturer’s server. No reason the app and scale can’t be used by themselves without an internet connection. I can use guest mode without logging in. So take out the log in nag screen.
