The official audio guide through Basel
Go on an audio tour along 5 Basel Old Town walks, which are named after Basel personalities such as Paracelsus, Erasmus of Rotterdam or Holbein. There are coloured signs in Basel's Old Town to mark these tours.
No matter in which order you walk through the city, you will find interesting information, anecdotes and stories about Basel's Old Town, one of the most intact and beautiful in Europe, at the points marked.
Whether you explore the stations on foot or listen to some of them in a sunny spot on a bench is up to you. Stroll through time on a journey through all eras! Stroll independently of fixed times, on foot, or experience the city in a sunny spot on a bench and design your time and route individually with the itour Guide.

Does not work
App does not download the city guide ... so it does nothing. Not sure why it is in the App Store.
Works well and has great info!
I don’t know what problem the other reviewer(s) had with this app. I downloaded it and used it during my visit to Basel. All the walking tours were included and a tone indicated whenever we were close to a stop. The narration gave some good stories and historical information at each stop. The only thing I wish was that there were better directions in the app on the routes. There are small signs on street corners showing which way to go but they are sometimes hard to spot or even missing (we saw a place where the street marker was clearly gone). The other problem is this app will drain your phone of energy really fast. Be prepared to use more than one phone or have a way to recharge.
Works well
A little slow and cumbersome to navigate but does work. Lots of points of interest. Downloaded easily over WiFi.
