Description
Indiana University School of Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound Initiative is excited to announce the new IUSM POCUS App!
Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a new use of an older imaging modality. Clinicians and health care professionals employ this revolutionary imaging modality at the bedside to improve clinical care and provide faster and more efficient diagnoses. POCUS has its roots in Emergency Medicine and evaluating trauma at the bedside. However, in the last few decades the uses of POCUS have spread outside of the emergency department and touches almost every sphere of health care services. Indiana University School of Medicine has recognized the potential for POCUS to revolutionize health care delivery and invested in multiple training and educational opportunities for students, residents, faculty, and allied health professionals.
We included the latest videos, content, and modules available through the Indiana University School of Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound education content. This app is intended as an education companion for POCUS enthusiasts engaged in IU School of Medicine POCUS training content. Links are included for further education content on other platforms, as well.
