Description

**Jane Online Appointments is a *HIPAA and PHIPA/PIPEDA compliant app* used only when iOS users need to gain access to their secure Telehealth calls**. Please note, this is not a traditional App. Once the App is downloaded, you can tuck it away for safe-keeping and continue to access your Online Appointments via your default iOS web browser, Safari.

How it works for a client:

- Head to the clinic's online booking site.
- Book a visit with a practitioner that uses Jane and offers Online Appointments.
- Download the **Jane Online Appointments iOS App.**
- **Exit the App, and tuck it away for safe-keeping (you will not need to access it again unless an update is required).**
- Navigate to your default web browser, **Safari.**
- If you booked an Online Appointment with a practitioner, you will receive an email 30 minutes before your appointment with a link to begin the session, or you can begin the session from your My Account area of the clinic’s online booking site.

* *Please know that this is **not** Jane's native app.*

How it works for a staff member:

- Login to your Jane account.
- Set up an Online Appointment treatment type and book a client for an Online Appointment.
- Download the **Jane Online Appointments iOS App.**
- **Exit the App, and tuck it away for safe-keeping (you will not need to access it again unless an update is required).**
- Navigate to your default web browser, **Safari.**
- Go to a booked session that will start within the hour and tap on "Begin".

* *Please know that this is **not** Jane's native app.*

Jane Online Appointments is backed by our amazing support team. If you encounter any problems or have any questions, please reach out to support (support@jane.app).

*Remember to always seek a doctor's advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions.

The New Update is Evil, it is sideways…

The New Update is Evil, it is sideways… It does not adjust to me setting up my iPad, in a landscape position. It only works in a portrait position. It is hard to set up my device in a portrait position, with my keyboard. The position thing makes it hard to have my appointments.

When they ask you how your appointment went, it does not let you make a comment, other than what they have in the drop down menu.

Developer Response ,

Hi there,

Elle here from our Product Team at Jane. I wanted to pop in and see if you were still having issue with your iPad and not being able to rotate to landscape. That issue was fixed with the 1.5.2 update, so if you're still having troubles we'd love to help you out! You can send us an email to support@jane.app or give us a call on 844-310-5263

The app does not work

It’s bee a year after a review that appointment link is redirecting you to App Store instead of appointment. The issue is still there. Idk how this could be even on App Store. The app does not work!

Developer Response ,

Hi masandra123,

This is Julia from the Product Team at Jane. Thank you for reaching out and letting us know that you’re having some trouble. I'm here to help you access your future online appointments, and I only wish that I could have gotten this response over to you sooner.

It sounds as though you’re on an iOS device and may need to upgrade to the most recent version of the Jane Online Appointments App. I’ve provided a direct link for you, here (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jane-online-appointments/id1505867614?ls=1). Could you try that please, and let us know if you're still experiencing issues? Here are also our handy guides for patients using an iOS device (https://jane.app/guide/ipad-iphone-for-online-appointments-for-patients) and their practitioners (https://jane.app/guide/telehealth/ipad-iphone-for-online-appointments-practitioners) to help with assessing your Jane Online Appointments.

One thing to know about our App is that once it's downloaded, you can tuck the app away safely (without deleting it). From this point moving forward, you'll access all of your online appointments directly through the access link in your email or by logging into your account on your clinic's Jane site. There's really no need to open up the App again, other than when an update is needed.

I hope this has helped, and if you ever need a speedier response moving forward, know that we have a full support team ready to help you. You can reach us at support@janeapp.com or by phone at 1-844-310-5263. 💙

Take care,

Julia, on behalf of The Jane Team

Works back to back with our JANE state at our business effectively.

Developer Response ,

Hi Riverforest Group,

This is Julia from the Product Team here at Jane. I understand that you’ve had a really frustrating experience with the Jane Online Appointments App so far, and we want to let you know that we never intended to have you feeling this way.

I thought I'd take the opportunity to share that it's not used in the traditional way an app would be. Here's a bit more on that point...

One thing to know about our App is that once it's downloaded, you can tuck the app away safely (without deleting it). From this point moving forward, you'll access all of your online appointments directly through the access link in your email or by logging into your account on your clinic's Jane site. There's really no need to open up the App again.

If we think of it in a slightly different way, the App acts more like a key that unlocks your Online Appointment so that you can join your call from your email or account. I'll also share our handy guides for patients (https://jane.app/guide/telehealth/how-to-join-your-online-appointment-for-patients) and their practitioners (https://jane.app/guide/telehealth/ipad-iphone-for-online-appointments-practitioners) to give you a better idea of what I'm referring to.

I know what you might be thinking... Why call it an App then? Isn't that misleading?

We hear you... but for lack of a better term, we refer to it as an App because well, it’s technically an app that’s downloaded from the 'App Store’.

I know first impressions are important. So I hope with this new knowledge, you might consider giving Jane's Online Appointments another chance.

On the brighter side, we do have a mobile app in development so stay tuned for more on that. In the meantime, we have a full support team ready to help with anything you might need. You can reach us at support@janeapp.com or by phone at 1-844-310-5263.

Sincerely,

Julia, on behalf of the Jane Team
