Write Tools in One Row: The brush, the eraser, the show and hide guide button and the stroke order button now sit together in one centered row, just above the practice square. Before, the stroke order button lived in the corner of the paper, a little like a sticker on your homework. Now the paper is all yours for tracing, and the kana and its romaji have the top of the screen to themselves. On a locked kana, the four buttons stay in place, dimmed, so nothing jumps around. Thanks everyone for downloading Japanese Hiragana! In this update, we've fixed a bug that kept the app quiet when your iPhone was in silent mode. Sound in Silent Mode: Before, turning on silent mode also silenced the app, which made あ and its ant very quiet indeed. Now the native recordings, the Japanese voice and the quiz countdown beeps play even with silent mode on, as long as your volume is up. Thanks everyone for downloading Japanese Hiragana! In this update, we've made the app ready for iPhone Duo. Made for iPhone Duo: The app now fits both screens of iPhone Duo. Closed, everything fits the narrow outer screen. Open it, and lessons, practice and quizzes spread out across the larger inner screen, held upright or turned on its side. Thanks everyone for downloading Japanese Hiragana! In this update, we've fixed a bug in Switch App, given the Kana of the Day widget a Japanese touch and dressed the Apple Watch app in a new look. 1. Get Our Other Japanese Apps in One Tap: Switch App on the home screen lets you jump between Japanese Hiragana, Japanese Katakana, Japanese Vocab and Japanese Kanji. Before, tapping Get on an app you didn't have yet only told you it wasn't installed. Now it takes you straight to that app's App Store page, so you can add it and keep learning. The shortcuts on the app icon work the same way. 2. The App's Name on Your Home Screen: The medium Kana of the Day widget now shows ひらがな, written top to bottom the traditional way, beside the day's kana and its picture. 3. A New Look on Apple Watch: The Apple Watch app now wears the night cherry blossom theme: a deep plum background, cherry pink titles and buttons, a blossoming branch on the home screen, and falling petals when you set a new best score.
